  1. im alittle lost on this dialing in business , at present if i make a shot beyond what my zero is i "hold over" but say if i was shooting targets which is the plan, when ive got my scoped dialled in at a 100 yard zero each click represents 1/8 of a inch but say if i want to dial the gun in for a target at 200 yards what value do i use the 1/8 of a inch at a hundred or do i use the 1/4 inch at 200 yards or is there are a special formula to figure this out beacuse obviously clicks will represent different value through the range from 100 yard to 200 yards , can anyone help? liam
  2. well if you like the .22wmr then keep it and try applying for a .243 that will do all the same as the .22-250 with lighter bullets of course (trajectory etc) then use heavier bullets if you ever felt the need to go out and try abit of deer stalking, ammo prices dont vary that much between the two and if your reloading i dont think youll notice much difference at all cost wise. liam
  3. oh well then theres no problems, have you looked in to what kind of setup you want, rifle glass etc?
  4. do you have another dedicated rabbit caliber or is it jsut purely foxes you shoot, becuase i know for sure my .22-250 is not designed for rabbits firstly damage it causes and cost if your buying the ammo, or you could reload and jsut shoot the rabbits for the fun of seeing them blow up. but if you havent got anything else too shoot rabbits i wouldnt give up on your .22 wmr jsut yet. liam
  5. its ok this time of year we leave around 8 o clock and come back about 11 o clock or later depending if theres plenty around, but if we are ever shooting in the summer too keep rabbit numbers down it makes very littles odds as theres bugger all darkness, so we just have to go when we feel its suitable liam
  6. the trigger is for my friends rifle hes hoping to tighten up his groups my lightening his trigger to somethin similar to his CF ruger .i live in shetland islands nearest gunsmith is a 200 mile ferry journey so a trigger kit is easier than forking out for the ferry and hotel etc etc.

  14. is there any play on the ejectors before you close the gun up with no carts in becuase id think if when the gun was closed loaded and the ejectors could move around slighty the force of the action closing against the cartridges could push them over the lip of the ejector.

  17. when i applied for my first CF i chose a 243 but the they would let me have that so i went for the .22-250 there plenty of guns chambered in it and ammo aint a problem, as for as the best all rounder goes id say a 243 , it will do anything from small varmints fox and deer. liam

  19. you really cant compare a .220 swift to a .223 or .222 its in another league its also expensive too run and it will burn the barrel out in no time the loads range from 60gr bullet going at 3600 fps to a 40gr bullet going in excess of 4300 fps wheres as the .223 runs at around 3200fps for a 55grainer not many rifles are chambered in 220 swift so he may also find it hard hard to find a gun that suits him liam
  20. SAK mod should do the trick aslong as he has his rifle screw cut and and his fac states he can hold a moderator for that firearm then there is no problem if not then he will need a variation to make the change for a moderator. I think you can pick up a SAK mod for around £33. you will take the edge off it but it will never be silent as you still have the crack of the bullet breaking the sound barrier, the mod only quietens the bang from the igniton of the round itself. liam
  21. yeh thats the problem , im fillin in a v62 as there been lost. liam

  23. judging by your name you'll just have too go with the cz 452 american, and its obvious that is what you want or your would have been 10/22 as your name if you didnt want the cz. if it was up too me id choose the cz, it works well, very accurate and its pretty cheap. liam
