My phone went when i was at work do you want to go out ferreting down the dales the morn my mates says yes i said what time 7 he says feck i thought i dont finish work till 6 got in and rushed about and got my gear ready to go our lass said your fecking mad no kip and straight out .Ive never been on this land my mate has before its a few small paddock fields then some steep banks that go up to a moor some really large warrens and some small ones on rough grass fields my mate wanted to do the big ones with the longnets but they were right up near the moor by the time we walked up there with a

We had a look out down the dales not had the ferrets out down there for a while .Got to the farm and was talking to the farmer about where to ferret we said we would do a bit that held a few last time but his son came over and ask us to ferret a spot we knew would have been flooded and sure enough we only got 2 rabbits and the dog caught them in the rough .So we headed to where we wanted to go in the first place we seen some rabbits run into a building had a look and the floor had a warren in netted up and had 7 out moved to a hedge line and got about 6 did another building floor and got a few

I have raced whippets in the past if you are going to race at Horden you might be better off with a none ped bred whippet go to Horden track and watch the racing someone will know if anyone has any litters of pups or some due or join the k9 whippet site and go to the none ped section plenty info on there ferretuk.

Just finished another knife the wood is alder root a helle blade a bit of honey buffalo horn some red fiber an old Irish three penny hare coin .I lost some of the honey colour from the buffalo horn when i shaped the handle .Ive got another knife nearly finished i will put a pic up when its done . some pics

One of our mates ask if we wanted a look out lamping on some farms he has near weatherby when he rang the farmer he said it had been raining heavy but had stopped now.When we got to the first farm you could see the pools of water in some fields the rabbits we ran were like smokey rockets on the grass fields you could see they had been lamped before they weren't fecking about at the hedges straight in the cover. There was only afew rabbits out it could of been the rain or a fox we seen amongst some sheep got 6 rabbits and went to the next farm .This farm was mainly arable land with crops just c

just saying where the speed comes from in marks dogs snoop but to answer your question Will hay was a racing whippet that was also used for hare coursing and was reputedly a good hare killer .He was at open stud and lined lurchers so there are dogs out there that carry this line.Country music was also a top racing whippet who's blood lines are in lurchers and produced some good dogs .

thats true,see a lot of people on these sites are only into there dogs for a few yrs and wouldnt know how to bring a pup on to its full pertential so they pay the money for these dogs,i breed mine and to them being burnt out after a few hares what a stupid comment they work rabbits most nights of the week and catch good nus and there not squatters, max thanks for your comments but theyve beat more greyhound whippets in straight racing then theyve lost to 39 straight final racing competions and won 34 not bad hey thats from manchester to oxford midlands and cornwall and shes a collie x beat so

The rough coated dog is a coursing bred lurcherxlurcher with a fair bit of saluki blood in blue_boy.Good luck with the move witton hope it goes alright you will have plenty rabbits to go at in the dales .The poodle is back to his old self Ian he only missed one rabbit and that one dropped in a hole.

Had a look out with the lamp last night with fieldmarshall and a mate weather was spot on dark and windy although the ground was waterloged and some fields had pools of water in .The lad that was out with us ran his bullx i am impressed with this dog seen him run a few times now and he is a very fast determined dog .There wasen't that many rabbits about only 2or3 per field got some good runs though most of the slips were canny long ones the dogs did well not missing many that they ran some rabbits dropped in warrens before the dogs got to them .The pools of water in the fields made some strike

Got a few blades and knife making bits off the wife for crimbo what i asked for from Brisa so had a go at making a knife .This is the second knife ive had a go at making the first was from bits of wood and metal i had lain about made a few small mistakes that hopefully i will not make next time .I was going to use some fallow antler that i found when out with the dogs with Tomo&Max but it wasen't solid enough in the middle so i will use it for stick handles or something .These shop bought blades are fecking sharp got a cut on my leg to prove it and i taped the blade up a few pic's.
