Another good night Tomo&Lamps when we walked up the riverside fields there wasen't that many rabbits out still got enough runs for the dogs though fieldmarshalls pups is getting a good little strike on her she really wants the rabbits she is learning all the time.

Well done Tomo&Rew i thought you would do well with that bit wind blowing .We got what we were after a few runs for fieldmarshalls pup and my dog .Feel sorry for young Rew bet he's fecked at work you will have to lamp one of the other farms next time Tomo you want some rabbits for the comp lol. the 12 we caught

Only put a few fence wires down mackem just learning to set them and caught 2 rabbits lol its a start .Yes Tomo its good when you see rabbits in snares you have set. Ive not used them snares yet the one.

I got woodga's dvd off a mate a while back and thought i wouldnt mind having a go at snaring i had set a few as a kid with out any success anyway a few weeks back i bought some brass wire and eyes from Northeast Fieldsports and followed woodga's dvd on how to make snares up i used a old hand drill to spin them up and it worked ok. I then had a go at making the tealers after making a few dodgy ones i got the hang of it then i cut some dry ash for pegs i couldn't get hold of any bailer twine to attach them so used some thicker nylon .Ive been reading all glens woodga's and p&g's stuff on th

Max has had the winner and runner up trophys and shield done for the lamping comp they are all engraved but you cant see to well from the pic .

I have used all sorts of twine for nets but still like to use hemp nets they just feel right to me i have spun nylon nets in my bag too that are good but reach for the hemp first . I dont know what the hardship is in looking after your hemp nets when you have used them it is just routine to hang them up nowt hard about that i have some hemp nets in my bag that will be over 25 years old and they still hold rabbits.

Some rabbits have been getting into allotments near me and eating the veg so i had a walk round with the airgun to get some ferret food i only seen the one young rabbit and a few rats but thought i would give my deerhound pups a look at the rabbit before it went in for the ferrets they seem to like rabbits
