Mooster, I like your analogy their but I have to disagree as I have a ferret who will bolt rabbits surface and then look for the Carry box and climb in for a nap (she's done it about half a dozen times?), Could be narcalepsy triggered by the excitement I guess LOL, but if she ain't sniffing off after a rabbit who slipped the net then she will look for her box? I think it maybe where she'd sit in the mouth of rabbit holes when she was young and refuse to come out; the only thing I could think to do was put the box there for her to run too and she'd jump in and curl up Odd little Pug. Im as racist as the next man, but ive got to grim and bare it. Great Britain is no longer, we are now the United Kingdom and maybe not that united. But ive changed my philosophy with regards to immigrants and that is as long as they are willing to work and not spounge of this country then best of luck to them. I know alot of them come here just for our benefit system and an easier way of life, but i also see the low life scum, druggies and piss heads with no education, disapline or respect for anyone and everyone they come across, they prey on the weak and frail and just take what they want. i never thought of that, what kind of cost would you be looking at for a dog that is already trained or would it be cheaper to get a dog and send it away to be trained, on the other hand i would like the challenge of trainging a dog up. i dont know what to do he he he There'll be plenty of young dogs out there now which have been trained for trialing and wont quite make the grade, they will be superb gun dogs all the same, and you can expect to pay up to £600 for one, but you can pay a dam site more than that for a pup out of top dogs. Matt dont know if this is your first gun dog but if it is then why not consider one already trained. Reason i say this is that i did this this time last year and by god im glad i did. I bought a 18 month old ESS of a guy who trains them up and sells on. Hes a good guy and helped me through the rest of the season on a shoot. This gave me valuable expierience for when i took the dog on myself. Now let me tell you i've learn't more off the dog than the dog has learn't off me. Sure he had to get used to me and my commands which vary from the trainers, as in pitch and tones ect, but i can

Got to agree with some of the replys, as if someone had asked me what they were from the photos i would never have said pure whippets as the muzzle is very stout i thought there was some bull in them, but there we are what the feck do i know. Anyway good luck with them Cheers bob

Just an update, i stripped the whole thing down and it was dry and dirty i gave it a dam good clean and a good oiling. Anyway after re assembling it felt smoother and i was quite confident that was the problem sorted. Today i took it on the shoot and first shots no problems, second drive got on my peg and there were pegs in front of me, so i became a back gun. anyway the guns in front missed their target and i took aim and fired first cartridge bang (missed), eject, reload and nothing No click from the fireing pin, ejected cartridge manually, pulled trigger, click went the pin, reloade

I tend to tape mine to stop muck and water getting into them, they dont come apart that easily but they can stop working if it becomes wet and dirty inside. Cheers bob

Had the same problem myself once, but fortunatly found it just on the entrance of a hidden hole. Since then ive made sure they are tight, i was supprised how tight they could go, without any effects to the ferts. Cheers bob
