  1. :D I agree, don't knock it if you aint seen it. My furthest is a wallaby at 4ooyds with a Harrington Gat Gun. But i was using Pointed pellets
  2. I use both and I think they are both as good as each other, they both detect, which is what i want, the Mk3m seems more watertight but i dont ferret in rivers, the only draw back with it is, as someone already said, you can forget to turn it on, i guess the only drawback i have found with the Mk3 is you have to remove the batteries after use, but if someone is too lazy to spend 10 seconds removing the batteries, then surely they won't want to walk miles ferreting. If you need another collar, get the Mk3m, but i wouldn't bother "upgrading" to one.
  3. Your probably gonna need these Stubby. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...18638_langId_-1
  4. Looks like you had a great day, and that colliex looks a cracker.
  5. I used the exact same words on my first girlfriend. Except i said thankyou young lady.
  6. Maybe if you had looked into owning a a ferret before spouting off you would know that's crap. So your saying they don't die then? Genius. I gave a basic answer to a basic question, and the fact of the matter is that Jill's do need mating every year, well technically, as has been mentioned, they need bringing out of season, and yes, i have heard of ferrets that have survived their season without help, but would you suggest risking it? In fact would you suggest anything at all? or are you the just the type of computer hunter that will hijack someones thread and spout off to caus
  7. Sounds like a great day out, just goes to show hunting has something for everyone.
  8. I use the bag in the picture, it takes about 30 nets, ferret finder + batteries, the rabbits get leged and put on the shovel or any old bit of branch, works well for me but does depend on the amount of rabbits you will be catching, the shovel has been good for 10, but gets a bit heavy after a couple of miles.
  9. Looks beautiful up there, shame it's full of sweaty's. lol

  11. Yes it's true, if you had looked into owning a ferret you should have know that, hopefully you have enough money to get them spayed.
  12. Aaronpidgenplucker, always informative, witty, and funny.
  13. You want to look up a guy on here called Kreet, he always seems to have some top dogs for sale.
  14. You say you need the cash, How much of it??????
  15. Don't think you will find many people on here that go hunting.
  16. Seems general concesous is go for the nivara, i've never had one, but i have had use of a l200, and they are crap, unreliable, had two engine rebuilds in 90,000 miles, no torque, loads of fuel, shite driving position and you would need a football pitch to turn it on full lock. Just my experience, but i have an old shogun with 200,000 miles and wouldn't swap it for a new L200 if i couldn't sell it for the cash.
  17. I tottaly agree gnasher, there is probably more bank robbers now as well.
  18. Surely not Borders that young? As I said earlier, there's may Border experts on here but I'm not sure if they have ever had a dog successfully enter at all. Plummer's books should help you, although his field of expertise wasn't really earth-dogs. I'm no digging man, but surely 4 years old is old enough for ANY dog to be enterd? Except for collies
  19. I think you are pretty much spot on, I know there are other influences, but i would love to see the stats of how many kids from two cohabiting/married/single WORKING parents get pregnant before 16 as opposed to kids from cohabiting/married/single non working parents. Now i'm not knocking the genuine unemployed here, i'm talking about the lazy feckers that would rather reproduce than produce production.
  20. Well done lads, two nice bags there. Stick with it boys.
  21. I aint gonna bet against you winning, er, i mean mark winning, because i reackon youv'e got the dog to beat anyone on the right night Well done to both Tomo and Mark on last nights run.
  22. Whats your opinions on the above title? I'll Explain. It seems to me that there are more and more dogs/pups coming up for sale, but it seems less and less people want them, a prime example is, i was down my local pet supplies store at the weekend and they ask stupid prices for their pups, well this week they were all advertised as, for sale, any decent offer considered. That says to me they can't shift them. So what i'm getting at is, do you think more people are breeding to produce an income? And what the feck is gonna happen to all these unwanted pups? (well, i think i know the answer t
  23. Good result there Andy, It's always nice when they turn up after a 6ft dig could be in store .
