  1. Cheers Joe. She was handy to have about and pushed a fair bit out for the lurchers but these past couple of weeks she had started to range a bit and wasn't taking any stopping once she was on scent. Only doing her job and I suppose that's why some lads don't like the terriers for working above. She was starting to work for herself and not for me or the lurchers. I liked her though and would of tried to work with her.
  2. No mate there aren't that I know of. I'm fairly sure she's not to ground but can never be 100% obviously.
  3. Come on ray you know his weight. Lol. He's a fair lump mate.
  4. He's a powerhouse mate . Has anybody asked to use him as a stud? no not yet , if you want power , good wind, pace , in your lurcher line , he spot on What sort of height and weight is he bird?
  5. She had a collar on yeh. I'm beginning to think she has yeh, she could of followed a line away from us, lost her bearings near the canal and got picked up by someone there. She is very friendly and loves people and other dogs. She would go with anyone quite easily I think.
  6. I'm sure you already know this but when they get to 18 months they are just starting to learn from what I've seen. Give them another 18 months and you could have some dog on your hands. My brindle bitch (deer/collie/whip/grey) was the slowest starter I've ever heard of. At 18 months old I had virtually written her off as being anything other than a rabbit dog. Even at 2 years old she turned her nose up at fox (retrieving shot ones obviously) and had no interest in retrieving anything bigger. But she has slowly over the last 12 months taken to anything and everything. She's 3 and half n
  7. This bitch will be 20 months old in September and ready for some proper graft. See if she's any good... Brindle bitch will get the odd night on the lamp but she will be taking a back seat if the youngster steps up...
  8. Yeh I'm still hopeful trigger mate. Fingers crossed she turns up. I've been going back to the same spot 2-3 times a day and leaving the boot open while I walk the land in case she goes to the motor and I miss her. I know she will jump in the boot and wait there. Socks - I like the idea of a cocker but I ain't getting anything else just yet. I'm considering getting goldfish. Lol
  9. Lol at socks. Cheers to the other lads. Still no luck.
  10. Hope she turns up. Currently going through the same with my Plummer terrier. Stressful time indeed. All the best.
  11. You got any better pics of her side on? I won't be going the show mate got alot on.
  12. Yeh 3 stone ago maybe. Times change lab. Lol. She came in 8th sexiest woman alive 3 years ago.
  13. Sorry - are you referring to me?What drama have I created? I wouldn't crate him or kennel him unless I absolutely had to, but I'd try to spend as much quiet calm time around him as possible and just accept that some of my things are going to get chewed over the next 6 months. I agree about the tired thing though. Some of these dogs don't want quiet calm time. They want stimulation. And that requires time.
  14. Sounds like a normal working bred lurcher to me? You should come and spend 24 hours with my red bitch. She's not a puppy either. She's 19 months old but 2 big walks a day don't touch the sides. She will run 30km alongside this bike and still get home and want to play. If I don't want to play she finds something to play with. Usually my 6 year old daughter. Then when she's had enough she will start chewing. Anything within reach. These dogs ain't meant to be caged or sat in the house. Granted some are. My brindle bitch sleeps 23 hours a day. But she's got a lot of deerhou

  21. I like that name Peter. Always liked flash aswell. But that might be a dogs name. Always wanted a Jet and got my wish with the brindle bitch. I wanted to call my red bitch fly but the missus and littleun picked piper ?
