  1. My lurcher has had a lump of rubbish in his left eye for the last few mornings. I'm sure I heard to bathe it with warm salt water? Or a used tea bag? Any thoughts? Gaz
  2. Ive found a 7x5 Tongue and Groove brand new for £245. Seems top quality with T&G roof and floor unlike some which are chipboard. Will have to save my pennies. Think it will be worth it in the long run. Gaz
  3. Iurlano - I don't usually make such offer but if travel is an issue I can help out. I live 15 mins from Crewe and work Manchester/Liverpool daily. Its a cracking looking pup.
  4. Thanks for the informative reply skycat. I am in the process of moving vets to someone who I have heard is ok. I will probably vaccinate every other year or third year just to be on the safe side. Both my dogs regularly come across rats. Gaz
  5. Dougall - as others have said. The post at the top is just that. A post on an internet website. There is a post somewhere on the internet that says it feels nice if you cut your penis off with a butter knife. It may well be true, but by fcuk am I gonna chance it. Gaz
  6. Someone on here had immunity tests done on a 5 year old dog which never has boosters. It was defficient in immunity for either parvo or lepto, not sure which. Even if they are a con, my only concern is either a) invalidating insurance and vets refusing treatment down the line. Gaz
  7. I posted a thread on this earlier in the week. I can get jabs for 22 quid at vets so wasn't gonna risk not getting them done. If you don't get them done annually then do the vets not ask why? Or if you go for treatment insist that that they have them? Gaz
  8. I like the sound of Saluki/whippet/grey x Wheaton/grey Could see them making top all rounders.
  9. I like the sound of Saluki/whippet/grey x Wheaton/grey Could see them making top all rounders.
  10. You shouldn't feed a pup raw meat? Lol. Suppose you feed tins of pedigree chud?
  11. For the small amount of money is it worth running the risk? Especially with what working dogs are exposed to? On top of that the 3 vets in my area I spoke to will not keep you on there books if they aren't jabbed to date. So then if they have an accident they aren't registered with a vets. Gaz
  12. Okay thanks for replys. I will try to drop on a Tongue and groove second hand. Will insulate the shed with kingspan and Ply and I'm gonna insulate the floor and then top with Lino so it's waterproof. Gaz
  13. I will deffinitely not be making. Second hand seems the best bet. What about the insulating? Insulate the kennel or the shed? Gaz
  14. Bonnie - I will keep you updated no problem. Roebuck - Thanks for advice. Will keep an eye open. Shepp - I have got a few boards of kingspan up my dads just kicking it's heals. I was gonna line the kennel box with it and then ply. Would you line the kennel or the shed? Which will benefit them more? They are in a 42" x 24" kennel, raised 4" off floor with bedding of shredded cardboard and PVC curtain to stop draft. This will be goin inside the 6x4 shed. Cheers Gaz
  15. Cheers attack. That website is sound. I am on a budget at the moment lads. I've got a few lengths of 2" x 2" I can strengthen it with. I am hoping to sort a decent kennel block out in a couple of years but need something to tide me over and store some gear in. Thanks again Gaz
  16. £120? Where you getting your wood from? Lol. If it was alot cheaper then I would build my own but i honestly don't think it would be and time is precious. Timber for frame Timber for shed Felt Wood treatment Hinges/bolt/nails etc A cheap 6x4 will do me fine. If I replace in 5 years then no prob :-)
  17. Tomo - I will pass. Lol. Labtastic - I priced up making a dog kennel a few months back and Materials were gonna be 60 notes plus. I brought a top quality one For 90 quid. It wasn't worth the hassle fetching and carrying materials and then the time to build it. Not to mention that it wouldn't be as good as a manufacture one. Cheers anyway though for suggestion, Gaz
  18. Cheers lads will have a look. Trappa - you saying now is a good time to buy?
  19. Ah f**k, I wanted it in the kitchen. Lol. Cheers pal. Will take a look. I don't mind second hand but the couple ive seen are rotting piles of toss. I wanna put the dogs kennel in it for a bit of extra shelter and then stick some shelves up for storage. Gaz
  20. I am after a new 6x4 garden shed. Anyone know the cheapest place to pick one up. Lads have said they have dropped on them for £120 notes but cheapest I can find online is £180. Cheers Gaz
  21. Your bitch is lovely. I would happily of put my sal/whip/grey over her in 3 or 4 years. He has got a very thick coat and skin, whilst still appearing smooth. I think too much collie or beddy would slow the pups down compared to the speed your bitch will probably have. Gaz
  22. I have heard great stuff about collie/deer/grey type dogs aswell. Wouldn't mind putting my sal/whip/grey over something of that breeding one day. Gaz.
  23. Thanks for replys. Shepp - I dunno why it repeat posts for me. Using phone and it happens alot. I have rang around a few vets this morning and cheapest I found is £22 for annual booster. For that price I don't think it's worth not having. £44 a year for both dogs. Small price to pay I think. If I had 5 or 6 dogs it may be different story. Gaz.
  24. Saluki/Whippet/Grey for me. I quite like saluki/bull/grey as well. Gaz
