    Nice one BRY. Fortunate for myself I found mine second hand. But the above price was quoted by Colin apple yards motorcycles and another bike shop. A third didn't even want to know. But that's the part.

    If the plug is not loose it sounds like the hard rubber flanged connector that joins the carb to the block. These tend to hairline split on most makes of quads. I have had it happen twice to my Kodiak. When cold it splutters and farts but once up to temp and the rubber warms up it seals the crack. IF.... It is that joint. Be prepared to put your hand in your pocket. They are a non stock item and will set you back around a ton and half. For the Kodiak. Cheaper for Hondas.

    To get your shine you will need a rubbing compound as TC said. T cut or similar. And polish it up with a soft cloth or mop wheel. But again as scramble said you may need a thicker coat of resin. Feck!! I feel like I have just repeated everything everyone has already said.

    What's the rabbit population like around you MM? Everything has a knock on effect. I'm not saying rabbits are a main source of prey as stoats will happily take ground nesting birds. Or pretty much anything they can sink their teeth into. Especially a mother with hungry kits. A decline in hedgerows and large amounts of land being turned over for crop growing has a slight impact. Chances are they are there, your just not seeing them.
