These two had turfed out a a pair of tawnys from their nest box and took up residence. I say two, no doubt there will be a couple more. In fact I'm pretty certain as both these had balls!! A long and complicated story involving a local conservation group, the diocese and a pissed off neighbour. ( the owl box is in a church yard ). All resolved now :-) Anyhow. Managed to get these whilst on a reccy for the trapping job. Hopefully a few more to come.

A little bit of an eyebrow raiser to some folk perhaps but I put that down to ignorance and no sense of humour. Keep up the low standards and good shooting. You never know. Managed a couple of hours on the woodies today. They are in good numbers around my way at the moment out on the cut hay. I don't normally see such numbers. I had a job postpone and had the rapid with me so it was a good opportunity to have a little crack at them. No fancy gadgets, no bipod and no hide, other than the underside of the van. I dropped the first from out of the motor, re positioned it and tucked the wings in tight and put the head down. A slow and steady stream of interested visitors landed in threes and fours, which gave a good choice of shots and the bag slowly starte

The cabinet can be used as a cold smoker. It just needs a separate smoking source away from the cabinet and piping up. Thanks.

To add. Although airgun laws vary in different country's and the topic starter claims to be from Africa, I am assuming that the above reference to a fox shot with an airgun was not in the uk. ANY posts on this site in regards to the above would be illegal and the posts and member/s will be removed.

I'm hoping that you are doing your " pro hunting " with an air rifle on foxes in Africa and not here in the uk. Interesting post. There's one or two folk on here that are a dab hand with the old air plinker and tally bags which make your pigeons and squirrels look a little feeble. Without bipods, rangefinders etc etc and just using the art of field craft and good old shooting skills. It's not a myth nor is it black magic. I hope this topic was just to air your opinion and not a direct pop at anyone. Welcome to the site.
