probably the best rugby player of all time.and now the rugby world cup is on.i often think what an amazing player he was. the stats are amazing. At 6 feet 5 inches (1.95 metres) and 275 pounds (125 kg) 19st 6lb,, Lomu was exceptionally large for a wing player. Blessed with great speed (he ran 100 metres in under 11 seconds) and power, he was difficult to stop and often ran over opponents. He held numerous World Cup records, not far from 20st and running the 100m in under 11 second's.. what a machine he was.r.i.p jonah lomu.

  17. some thing's in there are an eye opener gnasher.. Feeding a high fat diet not only provides the most important fuel for work, it changes the structure and function of the muscles so that they can use that fuel better.

  19. Untill Maggie fecked it all up mate. Here's a pic from 1912 in the pit a few miles down from the village.
  20. what part of the country was you working and how many men were working in the pit mate. the whole community that the pit's supported.the open bath's/brass band/pidgeon club's etc.any hobby you had there was a few like minded lad's in the pit's into the same thing wether.fishing/lurchers/terrier's.local pool league/dart's team's.all that comradery gone..it's a real shame..
  21. it's a strange scenario mate.as you know the only reason the villages are there is because of the pit's.and now the pit's are gone.and nothing has replaced them. the same in yorkshire etc. it's a shame but it's no doubt in the past now and part of history..
  22. i never set foot under ground mate.done a bit in open cast's though. 3 train's a day were going out.1500 ton per train.£100 per ton.£150k per train.£450k per day for 3 train's.crazy amount of money..
