    sometimes a pup can be bigger than its parents same as as a kid can be taller than its parents. plus some pups may take whippet height and some saluki. my first lurcher was a black n tan saluki/grey/whippet he went to 27" everyone thought it was a doberman to start with.

    Got the pocket version of that, quite handy. yeah it is also one for keeping at home is the concise british flora in colour by w .keble martin. have seen it on net but postage is always high due to size and weight. edit to add its not a foraging book but a good plant identifacation book.

    i got one same age and breeder said to start training on a lead and then use like a tracking lead for sit and stay and gradually increase the distance. he said too many people buy spaniels and let them run loose until their 6 months then try and start training and get frustrated when they are still trying to run wild.

    will get recent pic thats old one, used to have a rotty few years ago she only lived for 7 years before back end and bladder went. but bought up same inside with kids

    nice looking pup, i remember a article where a 6 month old pup defended its owners property against an intruder and made them back down.

    recession? all i seen last time was idiots on champagne tastes and beer money selling stuff off cheap as they had over stretched theirselves with mortages and credit. was on ebay alot and there was still mountain bikes going for up to four figures , classic and muscle cars going for thousands , infact anything decent was being bidded up. sometimes its just an excuse or hyped up by the media doom and gloom lot.

    i done a post but it diseappeared theres couple old estates in dorset with the broken beer bottles on walls but i heard it was illegal now. what about the grease from a grease gun cartridge smeared on walls or on some carpet gripper. i had gripper on my old place and fixed it loosely so if anyone been it would come off and you would see the gap.

    all was trying to say was instead of going to expence of importing in , try whats to hand some farm dogs collies etc self enter and even a terrier thats been a pet for years can wake up when given the chance. just because its a pet or neutured doesnt mean it cant start ratting if encouraged.
