    me own fantasy land thats why i said edible quarry 8 years if you only take what you need you aint going over stretch it and if you dont change dogs every season you will get 8 years easy, ive not heard many lurchers dieing young unless its accidents, most seem to live til double figures.

    yea but sometimes they are better than tv. try birdtrader site,or any of internet classified sites and look on notice boards of petshop windows , an dont pay more than £500 for one ,got 2 that way both with cages.

    funny you should mention that my dads got a pic of his dad stood by a cart holding a dog which looks like husky x collie got good coat on it, me grandad served in ww2 so assume it was between the 1st and 2nd war era.and in dorset area. next time im down there il take a pic with phone and see if i can upload it. western isles are up in the north west of scotland mate not dorset but yeah collies are sometimes underestimted in the strength capacity yeah i know where they are,

    i meant rambler with dog them wankers think they can go anywhere, then when their on roads they walk 3 abreast and wont get in like those tossers on the racing bikes in lycra. if running dog cant clear fence its not much use is it.

    i was thinking about this earlier, and trying to think whether health/constitution or temperment would be my top list of priorities in a dog. i like a dog to have a good stomach as well as not needing trip to vets apart from worming or jabs.

    Would it has really mattered if bred with a whippet or grey? yea as if breeding not known if there was already a small dog in it ,crossed with a whippet chances are increased for small dogs
