    It can happen , and end up with dogs that look like skinny tailed foxes . if he was breeding his own litter he could just take the smallest pup the bigger ones should sell easily enough . myself if I was doing it I would probably use a generation bred saluki /grey .

    I disagree I would want something taller /longer legged incase some of the litter turn out like stumpy shepherds .

    I remember as a young adult reading a book and the author was on about the gypsies keeping a strain of black n tan terriers for hedgehogs can’t remember if it was a Plummer book ?

    Well both really yes badgers have always killed hedgehogs but no mention of it and the increased badger population must be having an effect on them especially when it’s summer and grounds hard ?

    My parents watching it and they were on about hedgehogs declining ,biggest factors were pesticides/slug pellets and loss of habitat . No mention of badgers killing and eating them?

    It tickled me seeing the one stood up where the trunk had snapped off and was lying on the ground .

    Went for a wander round Arne but to late in the day and to hot really the piglet is a domestic x breed they was using them to clear undergrowth but that fella was on its own .

    Local radio was on about it ,couldn’t quite hear as reception was poor but sounded like Dorset wildlife want pesticides to be stopped and habitat and fresh water increased to boost numbers ?

    There was a fella on here used to hunt with one ? I know the hw45 were quite powerful and in America they use the 1322 or 1377 with a ratcatcher stock I sold mine before I used it outdoors . Also the Crosman c02 ratbuster is supposed to be capable of cage dispatch but I don’t know about birds roosting as I’ve heard of pellets bouncing off pigeons from airpistols . What about a bsa ultra pcp ? Compact guns and least double the power of a pistol .

    I forgot to post this beginning of the week but did anyone else watch the program Sunday /monday where Jack was on about breeding the terrier x whippet and he went to ginger French’s place to see different types of running dogs .

    Probably as the dogs occupied mentally and physically plus lot of pet dogs are fed the equivalent of doggy junk food that’s loaded with colours and preservatives and makes them hyper .
