  1. Cracking hare and a cracking bit of land mate, you lot do make up for the fact you have no predators there. You do bang some game and pests, well done and keep up the posts and pics.
  2. Well this may sound like i'm being funny here but these dogs should turn out into belters in every way, they should have all you look for in a modern lurcher and more. They will have drive that should equal any other sort of cross out there, they will also have the feet, body and stamina of anything out there and maybe the only thing they may lack in is super speed and a little nose as the cattle dog hasn't been bred to have a out standing nose, but saying that the dam of the pups has marked rabbits, phesants and partrige in hedgerows and has followed a fresh hare scent for a good few hundred yards
  3. You have to shoot when it flushes, how long that takes or when a safe shot can be taken is anyones guess,to be really legal flushing is the new word for hunting anything other than rats and rabbits,
  4. I'd plead guilty to not being stupid enough to try to get a spitting mink away from my dogs with bare hands,it'd be on it's fecking own mate. The alien species bit is pushing it even for the other side but once handled you have to kill it,same as foxes.
  5. What i have said is from the legal chap out of the cmw and is how he hunts mink week in week out,the same applies to stoats, squirrels, weasels even mice if your dog bites it when it is still alive your breaking the law.Now about the gun i'm not sure if a air rifle is by law(not just advised) ample enough to be the gun on a mink hunt, although you probebly get away with shooting a mink in a trap with one.Mistakes do happen on the hunting field as in any walk of life, just mind your not one of the unlucky ones caught when this happens.
  6. I felt stupid writting it so how thick must they feel those morons that wrote it into law?.The law my good friends is an ass.
  7. some 1 telling lies when he killed them that deer has a summer coat on it u tit!!!LIER!! Out in tshirts as well, tough lads in winter eh?
  8. Yes mate it is,you can as with fox hunting use as many hound/dogs as you want to find the line of the hunted, when you have found the line of the quarry to be hunted and the animal thats hunted knows it's being hunted then you can only use 2 hounds/dogs to flush it to a gun.You can how ever use as many hounds or dogs as you want to flush to a bird of prey, dogs are not allowed to bite anything alive apart from rats and rabbits.
  9. CMON GET EM UP be nice to here some of your days out in stead of all the crap you keep saying about other peoples dogs.
  10. The acd x gh pups i have at mine have some of the best feet i have ever seen on any sort of lurcher, they also have the bone and build to cope with ground like that when there older.i have kept one myself(not my litter mind)due to the fact i'm soon moving to west wales and will need a dog with a bit of substance about it for the hilly ground and game i'll be hunting next year.

    A HELP OUT!

Look at the worst xmas so far post night time my time has put up.I'll bump it up.
  14. When we got there the lady had 2 other people in with the pups and the dam didn't batter an eyelid when we walked in the puppy room either, she's a very steady bitch it's just the only pic i have of her looking towards the camera, mind you one word from the old lady and she'd nail you.Cracking dogs....
  15. Sort of get what your saying mate, the blue's do look nice but i like the speckle myself. But as we all know mate,a good dog can't be a bad colour
  16. 9 weeks on jan the first,2 dog pups for sale anyone interested pm me and i'll get you intouch with the owner,i have just helped a mate out and reared them for him. biggest dog pup,a very level headed easy going pup,he'll be a strong lad when he's grown up. not the best standing pics, wriggly pup. other dog pup,the most forward going pup in the litter, allways been first to break out, come to meet you, bark at strangers and bite my ankles a pic of him standing,he's the one at the back(standing )
  17. We wanted the good traits like bone, chest strenght, drive and tractability(will develope with age,so the juries out on that one at the moment) and good feet from the acd, just a bit of pace from the greyhound.Bloody beaming mate with the result so far.
  18. The lady who has these pups has spent her life with dogs and rearing different breeds and i'm sure she would have spotted any abnormalities in any of the pups, they really have lacked for nothing since the £1000 c/section the dam needed to birth 7 of the pups and are handled all day long. These pups sort of work out 1/2 acd,1/4 collie,1/4 greyhound or there abouts.
  19. Went to drop off one of the acdxgh pups i've been rearing the other day and took a few pics of the ladies acd x collie lurcher pups she has. These pups are about 5 weeks old and a right bunch of cuties. mum with her hands full a few different colours
  20. Another update on the acdxgh pups,9 weeks tomorrow and one less than last update. The larger bitch pup has gone to a great new home, just the 2 dog pups left and my bitch. Some pics of them today and this evening, tried to get them to stand the best i could but pups will be wriggly little feckers big dog pup other dog pup my bitch pup
  21. Make sure you do it asap, they will and can take it mate.
  22. Sorry to hear that Rick and hope things get better for you,if you were to have a crash in the car(i hope you don't)or it gets stolen or burnt who gets the cash, you or them?,just a thought if your to loose it anyway mate.Like you say though mate you have your dogs and they'll help see you through, all the best.
  23. We've been saying we should try over there for a while now and once this frost has gone and the grounds not so hard we will get over there mate.Had a look out myself last night and even the grass fields by me were frozen up,got a couple but not worth the risk carrying on.Heard that muntie barking again so roll on a windy night and i hope your stay down this way has been good mate.
