  1. Grand pics there Wild Rover,Chalkwarren some of us have our acdx days just starting and although still pups alls looking good
  2. Some of you sound as ignorant as the anti's,baiting is the setting against each other 2 or more animals in a fighting match.Digging be it rabbits, foxes or badgers(some country's it's legal)is the releasing of a ferret or terrier to ground in order to bottle up the chosen quarry so you can dig down to it then either humanly kill it or bag it for release somewhere else.No way saying i'm into it but it's only a simular law that made it illigal as the hunting act made hare coursing illigal and most of us say feck that!,many would give badger digging a go if it were made legal again to control thes
  3. i can honestly say i never had to dig to a rabbit, had a few bolt out of pipes, and the odd one out of an earth. one shoot i used to do had a big long bank full of holes. some rabbity, some earths, some abit of both, just used to collar a dog up and run it off the slip, they'd stick there head in & sniff, if a fox was at home they'd enter and find, if not, move on to the next one. like i said in my previous post, every cripple has his way of walking, just cause i had no problems does'nt mean it is THE way of doing things, just worked for me and the dog's i have owned in the past. A.T.B...
  4. Glad your happy with him mate,i think you got a belter in the making there. To all others reading this, this man has just spent 12 hours driving just to pick up his pup, thats dedication towards a pup for you and i myself couldn't wish for him to have gone to a better owner.Hope your niece has a great day today and a big happy birthday to her and glad your journey home was a safe one, again very pleased your happy with him and i'll be glad of the updates mate. All the very best with him. Fireman.

Here's the last pic that i didn't post with the first lot,the 5 mins ferret one  Wild Rover they have taken everything in their stride mate,i will never claim to be any sort of dog trainer but they do everything i ask of them.Retrieving they just did for fun and retrieve just about anything i throw, dummys, rabbits, shoes, sticks, even deer bones and legs and got given a phesant for the ferrets today and will give them a go at feather tomorrow before the ferrets are fed.Lead training got sorted in a few hours from never having a collar on to walking down the road with traffic passing,i myse

If you don't like it go somewhere else, the trouble is most of us do know what most of you are like. It's your own peoples fault most of us feel this way,i myself lived a travelling life style for the best part of 20 years and have met many many travellers both english and irish, hippy and gypsy and know what i'm talking about.A lad i know who used to be on here had his home and motors robbed 2 days before xmas day by pikies so give it a rest with the hard done by story.Seems your nothing but a good for nothing hard done by gypo, don't like it do you?,so give it a rest with the name calling mate.
  12. I'd get the shite to pay for a day out to a theme park or something for your boy and i'd want to see the punishment he gets as well,if not an all in between you and him on your ground.Good to here the dogs back but i still wouldn't take there thieving word the lad gets sorted by there own,at the end of the day your still a gorgie and would you beat your boy for getting caught for robbing a pikie?.
  13. Yes mate, been doing the lead training and ferret breaking bit this week and both are coming on great guns.Getting them both(red dog here for a little longer yet) to retrieve allsorts of things and there straight to it,the other dog pup is also doing very well and the chap is well happy with him.Haven't herd about the other bitch pup but will chase up her progress this week, mum went off to her new 57 acre polo stables home with another cattle dog to play with today down in the new forest so a very happy ending all round so far.
  14. Grand job mate, coming on great guns that pup and looking good.

Well folks i'm glad to say he is getting back on his feet,he hasn't quite yet got his landy fixed but it is booked in to be worked on.He and his lad both were moved by the help members on here gave to him and it helped so so much and they have both asked me to say a massive thanks to you all.He is keeping his head down as it seems someones stirring it all again and he doesn't know why he's been deleted or by whom,he's getting on with his dogs as the season draws to an end and will catch up with friends at some point soon.
  17. You still wareing the wet muddy coat you used yesterday or did you take it off when you got home?,shame he was left in his .
  18. Thanks! How's baby doing? What name did you choose in the end? x Both mum and Archie are doing great thanks Hannah.
  19. Same here in norfolk, all gone and a bright sunny day.
  20. I have a wolfhound myself and is just a pet as really there to big and heavy to be able to turn quickly, haven't put her on anything as yet but she has caught a rabbit before and does seem very keen to chase things.I have a bit of land that has a few roe on and was just saying yesterday that i will try her on a retrieve this week as the herd does let us get close to them, one thing about this breed is though they have been bred to be mellow so am not expecting much to be honest. There really to big and heavy to be used in any lurcher breeding programe for this country but will say if she does hit
  21. Some of my patch is the same and some burries are in sandy soil so go deep,in the hard digging bits i use a jill i have who comes off as soon as she hears me digging. In fact all i have to do is locate her and stamp on the ground above her and she'll appear she's a good bolter and a handy ferret to have, the only way of getting round hard digging spots is to have the right tools to start with and don't enter your ferret to late in the day.
  22. I have a plummer dog who took his time with getting stuck in,he picks his strikes on rats if he has time to.If there's no room and the action is fast he just gets in there, but if it's out in the open he'll pick his strike. Some will say he's sometimes soft but i'd say clever as he rarely gets badly bitten,he'll peg rabbits rather than bitting them as well unless another dog is out with him. It's a trait thats handy for net work as he just pins them and waits for me to dispach them and when ferreting or long netting i use him and leave the lurcher or my bitch who gets well stuck in at home,as Oya
