  1. give the dog more time, get it out with other dogs to stimulate it, you'll never get the perfect dog over night, time and effort is the key mate, at least its running the beam,thats a start,there will be plenty of days or nights when you think to your self it should of had that, thats how the dog gains its experiance good luck

    anyone know any good names to call a female harris, racking my brains here on what to call her
  5. millet the perch looks closer to the fence in the picture, but actually its not, im not that daft you know! i have bow perches too(4 of them!) but if im not in the garden for a length of time i like him/her on the high perch
  6. a wine cork does the trick mate just as good, thats what i use
  7. the top spins freely enough mate, the leash kept getting tangled on the grease nipple making the bird to hang up side down at times, i use a standerd size leash on my bird, there's a ring to tether your bird to that slides up and down, i bought it job lot with some other things i'll try and take some pics tomorrow for you mate

  11. her talon was broken in her pen when the lad aquired the bird, and the beak has been trimmed back some today as it was just catching the lower beak, all in order now, thanks for the concern cheers bunnyblaster for the help of getting me this bird
  12. you've missed some good stuff then, great stuff on there laterly, lastnight was on about a river keeper, lastweek was a wild polecat documentry, the other day was stoats in a ruin,abit ago fox and rabbits its just a matter of keeping an eye on it, i like it, i agree far too much horse shite on it
  13. no i arnt planning to breed just yet and i couldnt really get her steady long enough on the scales, 2lb2oz is the best steady reading i got, she isnt 12months old yet
  14. had a female harris hawk today, well inpressed with her already she has a broken talon which is growing back so all is well here she is she was too good of oppertunity to miss, she is p/r and was bred last year, she has been manned but not flown free
  15. the first time i set i fox trap up i used rabbits for a good week with no results, each day i checked the trap i got a wiff of fox smell, so i knew he'/she been about, so i changed the bait for a frozen trout and the next day there was a fox in the trap

  20. i called in to a little market in leek after work one friday, i aways look out for secondhand book on hunting,falconry etc well i managed to get this little book in great condition done a search on the net and cant find another one yet anyone else have it?

  22. well mate thats a hard one to answer, you could be in three counties at once here! its called three shires head, due to three boarders together, derbyshire,cheshire and staffordshire, out standing place here's some more not so good pics, just playing with different setting on my camera the bridge on the next pic turned out too white!
