well done wag, some nice pics there, my mate horris's female had a good crack on a mallard today, it only just escaped her clutched we had a good flight with both birds on a rabbit,and that too made its great escape its not all about catching, its the quality of the flight

today saw me and horris having a few hours on the moors, when we arrived there were 3 grouse sitting out, tried my bird on one but he struggled abit with the wind and hit me like a ton of bricks on the recall! horris managed to kick up a hare, his female was hot on it, i slipped my male to join in, both birds worked well at it, but it still escaped! the second hare horris kicked up his female had a great dive on it,but all was left was a feet full of white fur! now i will say these hare's know what they are doing and its a credit to they on how they survive, this was the first time horris had

he did tell me when i had that male off him he would offer me a breeding pair and some of his set up if i was intrested, didnt think it would of been this soon, but i never heard off him still i wish him the best of luck as i know he's keen in to his shooting and wanting to spend time with his kid

get some peanut butter and smear it on a nearby tree about 8-10 inches from the floor, then get ready with your airgun and when they stretch to lick it off the tree blast the critters away!

the day was arranged to go on bunnyblaster's permission, first bury resulted in one rabbit bolting and horris's female giving a strong uphill chase, unfortunately the bunny got away, we did a few sets which bunnies were slowly bolting but always going up hill, any way we did manged to get a few rabbits in the bag horris's female watching from up above! horris's female after returning after giving chase my male on a bunnie both birds flying together and the female locks on as the male lands and watches

when you've taken the bone out which should of been done whilst still on the fox, i always fill with salt and then get a small wine bottle cork and stick that in, leave to hang for a few weeks

just becarefull if you expect it do the same in the field, most of the time doing it indoors or in the garden then get out in the field you will have to train it all over again if you get what i mean unless its a bird thats older and has already been flown before

Thank you, that makses obvious sence. But, if I walk my dogs (terriers), I can do that anywhere, they don't need to be working, in the same vain, just because I have a bird with me doesn't mean he's hunting either, or dare I say it on here (but we have all seen it done) a ferret on a lead walking in a park, again not working? I guess what I'm saying is hypthetically, because there are times when I wwalk the dogs on land I don't own believe it or not, can I have abird with me? Whats stopping it being exercised? permission land only, the same rules apply just like for dogs and ferret, i think if anyone say's common land is ok openly on here would be a fool and is shooting him/herself in the foot, just stick to permission land

not all poachers were doing it for a profit, most were doing it as a way to put food on the table

way back in the hay days times were tough and money was short, no processed shit, microwave crap, so i do beleive some of the stuff are very true, and dogs were sent of home with out the owner, not sure about a different route and the women were nearly as guilty as the men for being poachers
