  1. Thank you for a calm if unresolved debate mate ,lol.
  2. Again mate you are confusing the welfare act with protection orders .Any feral cat that is around livestock ie chickens etc and is deemed to be worrying ,killing or even upsetting livestock can be killed by the landowner or his representative . The welfare act protects ALL wildlife and domestic animals from abuse such as you’ve outlined . If you can provide any links to your thoughts mate Id be grateful . Lawful killing includes shooting and live trapping btw .
  3. Can you quote the legislation please Paul because as far as defra are concerned they can be killed at every opportunity ,ferals that is . I think your confusing any protection with the care and welfare act mate that protects every single animal from being abused .Not the same as having legal protection status .
  4. Hasn’t reached rural Wiltshire mate .I’ll still frag one that hasn’t a collar .Hate the things . Can you put up the exact legislation please mate . Its actually nice to have a chilled conversation mate so thanks for that ?
  5. Even if it was me mate and not the phone ,I can live with that but your still a bit like a 2 watt lightbulb .
  6. So what are unowned large cats then mate .Yep feral cats you’ve ,got it . Its not an argument mate .Thought you of all people could stay calm and discuss something . The reason so many threads go tits up is just this reason .Keep calm and discuss .?
  7. You’ve made all that up Paul .Stick to facts mate .Cats that are living wild ,off their wits are feral end of .I’ve shot countless ferals and dogged them mate with no recourse at all . If the cat has a tag and is tame it’s generally a pet yes but everything is fair game .
  8. Read Eddies post mate .You are wrong bud .When has anyone lost their fac through shooting one of these things in the past as I know a few have been shot years back .The media and hype like on here is the only thing stopping anyone from shooting the holy grail and bringing the whole fiasco to a timely conclusion . You say they arnt there so how the hell can they be be protected .lol. All belong to the genus felidae mate .All of which can be described as feral if were once in contact with man .The term feral applies to anything that has lived along side man ,caged or fenced but now r
  9. There is no bait Eddie .Half the time he’s not even on the thread when we discuss the topic .If anyone can copy paste where I’ve deliberately baited him then let’s see it .Plenty of baiting vice versa though but still a no show at Chez droppers . He think lads think he’s the hard man for saying it lol.Had harder shits .
  10. No it’s because people like you have no f****n backbone and post and run on threads .I’ll stay the distance no matter what’s said .You need to grow the f**k up and stop telling tales fecking grass .
  11. Out of like Stan . Also a term for someone with nothing up top .
  12. Just can’t help it Paul can you . Name calling again lol.Says it all and is usually the result of someone who’s nothing else to fall back on . Your pissed off because you can’t persuade anyone that your proof is what it made out to be .You now realise what I’m saying is true ,it’s very plain to see . Ive not ruined a single thread Paul ,it’s in your head .You are well capable of that yourself and most people see it . You've threatened to come here and do god knows what but that hasn’t materialised has it Paul .Again I’m very easy to find in the area that you say you know well
  13. I see the trap is well and truly weathered now mate ?
  14. Here’s just one example of a description mate .The word domestic is added by charities to help in funding I read elsewhere .
  15. The thing is mate if we are to accept there’s the odd cat out there it needs to be recognised as part of our fauna before it’s given any protection in law or otherwise .It’s fair to say there have been and no doubt will be releases and escapes from captivity . As there is no accepted classification for these cats bar under the dangerous animals act they are nothing more than feral cats .They cannot be placed in any other category . A feral cat is one that was under the care of a human but is now living off its wits in the wild . Legally ,I’m told and others may disagree ,you cannot
  16. Chap I spoke to wasn’t a legal rep but said he was speaking on their behalf ,whatever that means .All he said to me was that they would not sanction the shooting of any escaped pet ,their words ,but that would it to happen they would only defend a case if said cat was shot to protect life or livelyhood .Sport shooting would never be condoned . Chaps name was David Allen .Was a phone call . Im not trying to be smart or funny when I say their classification ,if they were to be here would be feral cat as leopards ,pumas etc are not accepted to be roaming the uk by any org whatsoever .
  17. I bought one for the chalk around here Steve .Used it once and then left it in the shed .Too heavy ,too narrow and just another piece to carry .
  18. And what was their reply please mate . I’m not prying as to the content of any letter mate I’d just like to know their response as I’ve spoke them myself when I was with them .
  19. My mistake if I misunderstood your initial post mate but were you trying to say that Basc advised it was illegal to shoot cats .
  20. That’s what this forum is about lads .
