We are off to Wicklow this October for the rut so hoping they are still there .

They did it in a quarry near me repeatly for 3 years straight so they they could extract the sand .Havnt seen a sand Martin since I was a lad .Disgraceful ,surely the nest sites are now well and truly protected . With coastal erosion happening anyway what difference is a few holes .
