    At stiffy No mate you are wrong .The full on head case knows no better than get messy .The combination of that to a steadier type combines the drives with finesse ,that’s the theory anyway .Ive seen plenty of dogs full on only fit for couple of goes a night but the amalgamated type do double figures in style .Depends what you want .Nobody is right or wrong .He who feeds it and all that .     I’d say if you’ve never done the travel ,go looking thing when your young and hungry it ain’t never going to happen as you get older .Im so glad I did the meet and greet when I was young and got it out my system .I still travel but it’s with a rifle these days as I couldn’t do a dog the justice it warrants tbh

    Someone’s full on grafter might be another’s cull though .Not to mention any names but years ago I invited a lad off here for a nights lamping and what he brought was a well known bull grey ,line bred stud of a thing .We pulled up at the permission and in the yard there was a donkey running free .That f***ing thing hit the windscreen from the back and nearly ko’d itself .Was a nightmare on the lead ,a thick heavy rope ,no slip lead mind .In fairness it killed everything we ran it on from rabbits to deer but what a mess it left ,certainly not a pot filler and bred for one thing only .I wouldn’

    The full on canine need not be bad with kids or livestock ,in fact its got a serious screw loose if it is and should be pts . Some people wondered why I bred exclusively to the old Razor dog even though he was a right c**t with other dogs .The reason was he had no equal in my eyes when it mattered underground .With people he was a softy ,just rolled over but put my boots on and he’d chew a brick wall to be with me .     Lol pushing a dog to the limit .That takes a man to do the same and is a rare thing .To push a dog you first need to find something to run that’s out the ordinary but not many want to get out their comfort zone or travel to do that .If you’ve been that man Wilf then fair play ,maybe you’d share a few stories with us as I’m guessing all pre ban from your age . Every dog has a limit so what does that prove other than another pass on with a f****d diaphragm .

    In Canada the most feared mammal is the bull Elk in the rut ,followed by the bull moose ,grizzly then black bear .We saw black bears when we were there ,the sows being considerably smaller than the boars . The day we left there was a sow grizzly with two cubs walked through the centre of Banff .They closed the roads and stopped traffic and let her through ,gutted I missed it . The elk are massive ,a third bigger again than our reds and it’s no wonder people are killed when testosterone rises .

    The old ductile was cast luckily and broke with a certain amount of force .The old deben Knocker box was useless in finding through metal . Bust up a section of drainage on a dump years back to get the dog out on a wrong in .Luckily the top was exposed the whole length ,about 2 foot diameter and half silted up .

    The carcass has been gralloched by a person .Chest cut with a bone saw and aitch bone split as in doing a deer ,I do it all the time .Whatever the holes are they certainly aint no teeth punctures .Your man there did nothing to help himself and was totally dismissed by the cat expert .I thought the panthers guy was very knowledgeable tbh and sort of said he didn’t believe there were cats here at all due to lack of anything he sees regularly at places they exist .     In the main Ive found hunting people to be very polite and accommodating .Been invited back to many a farmhouse after hunting ,wined and dined by strangers .If you look on the upper class as just that then upper class they will remain ,to me everyone has a chance to be just a person .Years gone by I was the chap who provided a fox for a days hunting at two Wiltshire based packs .The name Foxdropper is just that person ,a name that has stuck . I fell into the role by chance whilst digging on a day when the hunt was out and letting a fox run for them . Got to know the then terrier man
