  7. dont get me wrong im not knocking anyone or running down their terriers , i just feel that the title WORKING TERRIER is a hard earned title,im definatly not trying to put down all other types of hunting with terriers but, i feel that ONLY earth work deserves the title of a WORKING TERRIER
  8. cut heal is the job for you mate,it comes in powder, spray or ointment
  9. nice pup mate, what makes you think she is a cross when youve been told she is a pat?? just curious!
  10. if a terrier doesnt work below ground and stay untill dug its NOT a working terrier, lurchers ,hounds , springers etc hunt above ground and thats their job so they can be regarded as working dogs but a terriers job is below ground. that is WORK for a terrier , anything above ground for a terrier is sport, simple as that. Sorry Dev, But you are wrong if a terrier works it is a worker. If I work I am a worker it is as simple as that. Terriers were not initially bred to hunt below ground this was a trait brought in later. Work is work just because you dont rate it does not make it wrong
  11. this happened a mate s dog, he was getting on and just didnt want it anymore, same thing, he was digging when he had room to push on, shame but looks like the dog just dont want it anymore
  12. if a terrier doesnt work below ground and stay untill dug its NOT a working terrier, lurchers ,hounds , springers etc hunt above ground and thats their job so they can be regarded as working dogs but a terriers job is below ground. that is WORK for a terrier , anything above ground for a terrier is sport, simple as that. if a terrier isnt killing for food its sport!!! digging is SPORT it isnt even an effective means of pest control!!! digging is the easiest form of terrier work the only talent is from the dog....iv never had a problem shooting a problem fox with a rifle.... diggin
