  1. i cant see how a terrier in "small earths" could possibly flip a fox over onto its back!!!! if it has room to flip a fox onto its back then draw it from the earth then that earth must have plenty of room in it and therefore cannot be called a small earth.IMO. why? ive seen the bitch do it in a 6/8inch pipe, most foxes arent big and with the right technigue can be easily handled. once you have seen it happen you woulndt be such a sceptic ok fair enough, i wasnt talking about pipes or artificials, but anytime ive dug a fox in a SMALL natural earth the terrier has been wedged in tight a

  4. a dog that stays and stops its quarry and is able to hold it there untill dug,thats be proven over the years and always done its job! thats what i count as a 100% earth dog, does matter if its hard or a sounder or a mixer as long as it sticks it out and gets the result

  8. from what read about racoondogs,they are not a big test for a terrier as they dont really fight back, they go into shock and collapse, even their heart rate slows down so much that the dog thinks they are dead, im no expert but thats what ive read about them

  11. a friend of mine has his kennel layed out in tile!!apsulte death trap when wet i actually pitty the dogs sliding around in their own piss a shit he took a few falls himself!!they really hold the water ok, good point there mate, i never thought of that,havent done it, its just a thought
  12. i was going to do it in my kennells, but a friend of mine has his done and its wearing off badly, im thinking of putting down cheap floor tiles in my kennells,i think they would be alot better!!

  21. i like him Rio, nice size of a dog, i like dogs to be that size, my digging partner has a 16 inch dog that we are digging to, most of the places we hunt him in he has no problem getting to the stuff. but of course we dont run him in small kicked out rabbit holes!! its horses for courses mate, good luck with your young dog hope he keeps at it for you
