  2. thanks stig, thats the type of info i was hoping to get. cheers. my 9 months have seen nothing yet apart from a caged rat at 4 months.which they killed
  3. thanks for the replys, ive already done the mating, the pups are 9 months old now, i was just wondering was the percentage of workers produced, higher than the percentage of workers produced from unrelated worker to worker. thanks laim and the stig for your input
  4. just a quick question to the more experianced breeders on here. in the litters bred from father to daughter matings, did more of the pups make the grade than in a litter of unrelated worker to worker?? and was the standard of the pups produced normally as good as the sire and dam?
  5. sorry to hear that laim, looks a proper terrier there mate. shame he had to go but at least he worked right up to the end. good to see the other pics of your dogs too.proper workers
  6. every earth and every situation is different, i have manys a time dug to a hard dog holding its game mid tube so when we broke the dog off the stuff pushes on up the tube, hence weve had to drop the dog and dig again in a different spot. as someone else already stated educated game that doesnt want to be dug will sometimes take a 2nd or 3rd hole before the job is done, especially if there is 2 or 3 in the pot all pushing at the dog and wanting out. as long as the dogs stays and keeps the pressure on is all that counts IMO
  7. good stuff smasher the oul dog does it again
  8. just but a terrier, any breed will do, but dont breed it to that thing!!
  9. no one no then . come on boys who breeds these terriers . why dont you pm their owner instead of asking on the forum
  10. we let them run, unless the terrier has them in bad shape before we get to them or if they are unhealthy

  17. yous are in the wrong section!!! this is for earthdogs & working terriers
  18. yes a cross not border ????lakie or pat but just border . I have herd of borders that are no good but when x with lakie are tops but you will get the odd one that will do the job I have Levi Oates strain of Border and Middleton's line of Lakies, I would never cross them myself. Both good working strains, why mess with the breed when theres no need. Dont want to be a smart arse, but his surname is OAKES NOT OATES, good luck with your terriers, if there any good it must be down to you not middleton, hes another phoney, money maker, show man, has been some 40 years ago, a member of t
