  1. Ok, so I meet my great-grandfather who's the same age as me, the same as my grandad and dad? That would be well awkward wouldn't it?
  2. If we go to heaven when we pass and are reunited with our loved ones, at what age do we go, the age we died? If that's the case, millions will be meeting their parents who are younger than them. Lol
  3. Aye and he hasn't even fetched the wood yet, messer.
  4. I'm waiting for the good lord to do it.
  5. It's just true alright because it was written by numerous strangers well after the death of Jesus! Lol
  6. Knots mate, Knots. Lol
  7. Watch a passenger plane pass over head from the ground, doesn't look that fast, 500mph, load of rubbish?!?
  8. Well no it wouldn't would it, remember the time when comets take days or weeks to pass out of view to the naked eye, do you think they are traveling at a snails pace?
  9. It seems far fetched that we can create bionic limbs that move through our thoughts and nerve signals, that just blows your mind doesn't it.
  10. Try another mate, do you think if it was all a big hoax that they wouldn't have the intelligence to make sure each video release is clear of any tells? Or is it a secret message to us all by disgruntled employees? Lol
  11. Ok, so it's just NASA who you don't trust? What scandals in the past have made you so suspicious of them?
  12. You trusted in them when you rolled your children's sleeves up for their vaccinations, no?
  13. Meanwhile back in Russia.

Aye, these shovels we use are shite as well, we used to use Bulldogs, snapped a few in my time like but once they get shaped to your digging style they can't be beat.

250kg a concrete mate, those hardwood switch timbers are some weight as well, it was one of those that took my finger end clean off. Yes, from 18 onwards I was as fit as a fiddle and as strong as a bull. This NWR maintenance is nothing compared to those days, when you're changing a handful compared to 30-40 a day, different gravy. Our Foreman used to be proper keen so if we were on a big job with multiple gangs, we'd load our trolleys up first and start at the far end, of course that means when we finished we'd have to work our way back through the other gangs, well some soon cottoned on

Around 9 years ago I was working in Sheffield and I noticed an elderly man struggling with his cases as the "Zombies" around him just ignored him. I went over and helped him carry his cases to the bus stop and noticed that he was wearing his war medals. It turned out he was making his way to France for the D-Day festival, it was a honour to meet him and could almost feel myself getting choked up in his presence when listening to a hero of a man in his final years. I don't know if I did get his name on that day but it didn't take me long to find him, RIP Cyril Elliot.
  17. How do you know Concorde really flew at those speeds though, as though man can survive Mach 2.

That's all I did when I joined in 2002, sleeper changing, and not NWR sleeper changing, proper Mr's sleeper changing lol. All by hand, 6-7 per man, 5 or 6 in a gang. I was the youngest in the gang, my good mate, 6 year older, so, we ended up doing the lions share, looking after the elders, just pure graft.
  20. Your shipwrecked salvaged canoe has survived our sewage infested waters after a lick of creosote, anything is possible.
  21. Exactly, traveling 500mph on a plane feels no different than traveling 50mph in a car. Francie for some reason thinks that they go from zero to 25,000mph in a matter of seconds.
  22. So Trump is a nonce? Time for immediate impeachment?
  23. You must read this place with your eyes closed, Voyager is currently travelling at 38,000mph, has been doing so for years.
