  1. Iv'e had one of these for 8 years , done 105,000 miles since iv'e had it and not had one spot of bother with it apart from running costs.... Goes anywhere. Whoever buys this won't go wrong im my eyes
  2. Crackin stamp of a dog fella... Hope he works for you as well as he looks
  3. Gutted for you fella. We buy a let day in Northumberland every year and the rule there is NO GROUND GAME, as a few years ago someone did exactly the same thing and shot a fox red lab thinking it was Charlie..
  4. Hit the nail on the head there mate
  5. It's not only terriers that this applies too.... I've flow birds for years and over the last few years there has been an explosion of "falconers" flying Harris Hawks and think that if the bird follows on, snatches a few rabbits and catches the odd pheasant, that's Falconry..... Knock 1/2 - 1oz of 90% of them, jump them, get them fit and see the difference . Give these "falconers" a musket at about 140g and see how they get on....Or imprint a Gos... Actually DON'T. Didn't mean to get too far off original subject but it's the same scenario.. It's not the dog or the birds fault. It's bad
  6. "no reverse gear" and "lost on a dig" belong in the same sentance mate. Said this before and its true, the easiest thing to breed are "hard dogs" with no brains,Nuttalls being doing it and making good money from fools for years,if all people want is dogs that enter and plough into quarry you shouldnt be in the game imo. I know lads like this and they ussually have different terriers every few months, ussually because theyve lost it to ground/its died from being damaged or jacked. Thats not a dig at this post, you dont say how the dog was lost, but "no reverse" should read "no good"
  7. Good question...... Like i said before, there is a terrierman for wales (some will know who i mean ) who has some of the best grafting dogs in the country.. He will tell you himself that if he gets 20-25% sucess rate with his litters then its good. However he demands ONLY the best from his dogs and digs 5 odd days a week... These dogs would suit most people but not his requirements. Would these be worth breeding from?
  8. Don't think it's modern terriers....... Just modern terriermen Well..... some anyway
  9. 100 digs in two seasons........ If you dig EVERY Saturday and Sunday, that's 25 weeks (6 months) of solid digging!! I don't think there are many who can honestly claim that Not directed at you fella, just MHO A 2 year old dog will be lucky to have 1 full season under his belt its an example just a number not a claim Like i said mate... not directed at you personally, but a 2 year old dog has a looooooong way to go

  12. YET ANOTHER THREAD GONE TO RATS SIHT..... WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THIS SITE ? ? ? ?
  13. The dog does / did work. A mate of mine dug to it a year or two ago in Wales. It came off strong quarry that day. T
  14. thats not right, if some one brought a bitch to me, id have them over night, no extra charge, ive had bitches here up to three days, my fee, a pup or £100, and take a pic of them tied so the owner knows. Confused.com ! ! I was refering to TYSON... so i was told
  15. Think i'm right in saying it's £ per mating.... if you take a bitch and line her in the A.M and then again in the P.M. It's £160 So iv'e been told
  16. The dog does / did work. A mate of mine dug to it a year or two ago in Wales. It came off strong quarry that day. T I'm not saying the dog DOESN'T work. I've judged him a couple of times, he is a fine example of the breed and he has signs of graft.......
  17. If a dog won 30 odd championships at various shows in a year......... He ain't doing much digging at weekends JMOA
  18. .410 all the way. Sure beats trying to get 28" of barrel and 15" of stock in a tight place
  19. D o you think undershot dogs loose there teeth a lot quicker than a dog with a good mouth ,if worked and the dog gets up to his quarry is an undershot mouth a good mouth upside down
  20. I know a fella from across the border who's not so much of a 'big name' as a well respected terrierman.... He says that if he get 20-25% success from his dogs that's good going. That said he expects his dogs to be a cut above the rest
