  1. i dont think theres anything that can be done about the windows kye, this as been a problem on all subaru's for some, but i just let the dog out of the door which is always best as they have'nt as far to drop til they find there feet....lol the only problem subaru's suffer really is the exhaust getting knocked which makes them sound like tanks (not good pulling into the drive at 4 in the morning)....lol this problem is easily solved though by removing the standard (not much use to anyone) sump guard and replacing it with a lot larger one that covers the the 2 down pipes and the cats....i alw
  2. i think subaru have improved them now, but i'm not sure where you would purchase some heavy duty ones from.....a set of new standard ones should do the job...
  3. help needed here.....i was told recently about something that is fitted to the back suspension on a car to stop it from sitting on it's arse when towing caravan's etc....... so does anyone know what the correct name for them is ? and if there any good ? and where to get them ?.........
  4. the legacy DL was selectable 4wd, but now all the later models are permanant 4wd with hi and low box, except for auto's and turbos, these are just permanant 4wd high........ forresters are good cars like all subaru's really, good strong reliable engines, except for the 2.5 models like the outback, they seem to blow head gaskets for fun.... a lot of the early forresters look "sat" on the back end, this is because the back struts have failed, or were weak, but i think this has been corrected in later models.......
  5. Diesel 3/4 grey 1/4 wheaton 13 month old........
  6. i've noticed with the wheaten crosses i've got that say suffer with the heat in winter....
  7. ohh yes this lad loves sausage chomping

  8. the best cross for foxes would be the one that you can see when you look through a scope, this and a capable gun can be a deadly combination.......

  10. i've heard he's bringing a whole new line of books out in the near future........ EXTREME FELCHER WORK DIG DEEP THROW A MIX OVER THE BACK BUMMING DOGS IS AN ADDICTION NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A FIVE STRETCH ADVANCED HAIRY BUM HUNTING...... should make for good reading would'nt you say ?
  11. if it can catch what i want it to catch, then kill it consistantly on its own i could'nt care less what it looked like, or hows its bred even....
  12. i had my terrier castrated following the vets advice and it has'nt affected his working ability at all.....just a shame i'll never get a pup from him.
  13. well i've just stepped up the exercise for the lurchers now the seasons getting a little nearer, they've had it pretty easy up until now with only long walks and plenty of free running being there only form of excercise. now there getting 3 mile of steady jogging behind the quad (i dont need the exercise lol) every evening when its a bit cooler, then in another month i'll give one of them the night away from the jogging and replace it with a nights lamping twice a week on the rabbits just too sharpen them up with the running, twisting and turning etc. so when the time comes to do some proper
  14. it seems its not only a lot of dogs that are getting nicked....but horses too, there seems to be a fair few gone missing over the last year or so....there must be a market for them aswell....
  15. i dont think it matters that much with the percentages because there's still so much variation....i've seen fast racey half crosses and big heavy 3/8 5/8's.....there always an eliment of look involved when picking a pup....but imo if both parents have been tested properly your in with half a chance.....just remember, some do, most dont.
  16. i think khan had it on his toes last night for the first time in his career and i think another good shot from Gomez and it was curtains for him....khans quick and clever but i dont think he had the power to put Gomez out.....however the ref always as the power to put people out.....

  19. don't know mate....i'd prefer to put Brin over a good bull cross bitch in the near future....
  20. i cant believe this dog is still for sale....he is bred from the best and is allready started aswell....???????
  21. he's looking well brummy....a shade taller than Diesel but shape wise there like "peas in a pod" i'll put some pics of mine soon.... p.s Brigg how old are the pups now and have you any pics of them ?...... roll on september.......
  22. driving fields....it's bloody ridiculous, lazy buggers the lot of em....
  23. frost maybe its just that the bull crosses you've seen work are shite like so many are, imo that's often the case with all crosses... i've had and tried them all and 90% are just not upto the job i want them for, however i have a bigger success rate with bull crosses than i do with the others apart from wheatens because i have'nt seen enough of them work, only 2 and they were both brilliant.... now the best dog i ever owned was a 3/4 grey 1/8 bull 1/8 collie, but i think he was definately an exception to the rule....
  24. i don't think you'll be suprised either...why would anyone want a 1st or 2nd cross bull greyhound for guarding nets etc ?.....would you buy a whippet for full time fox work ?
