  1. good going mate, glad to hear you managed to 'save' the dogs...
  2. Isn't the 'Tilly' dog dead now?? I know a lad who had a dog straight out of Chaz but said it was shite, but I also heard the 'Diesel' dog that was also out of 'Chaz' was a decent dog before it died????
  3. In my experience he does'nt,but that's my personal experience of what I've seen so I don't want anybody throwing toys out of the pram. If offered I would'nt have another with Chaz the sire. Also in my experience quite a few are not mentaly stable either and others if honest will say the same, never the best foundations for a working terrier. I have one out of a son of Chaz and he's ok,steady but no world beater (then again how many of those are out there ).Then he has good Gould yo-yo outcross blood running through his veins which calms things down and add's those missing ingredients A
  4. hard very hard, good dog dug to him in some big earth and well tester good to hear it mate...
  5. Must be a decent dog for youse to have two litters off the dog, how does the dog work Wood1??
  6. Yeah it's a bit of a shits trick what went on with that pup G. but like Shay has said if she turns out any good you will have a good chance of getting something out of her... YIS Blue...
  7. Why would you want your pup to rag a rabbit??
  8. Would that be Pickaxe's 'Chaz'?? To what bitch??
  9. What the f**k is this post all about?? I mean I know wht it's about, but are you for real??Putting a locator collar around the dog's leg??
  10. The pups are looking well Benj, we'll have some fun with them next year...
  11. I don't see what the fuss is all about concerning a smaller collar, as I've dug to dogs numerous amount of times and it's never hindered them in any way...
  12. Cheers Blue, you never know but I think "Now thats what I call Deer Pats..............get the party started" sounds better. I will let you know how they get on, will I put you down for one? Put me down for two mate, one for keeps and one for ebay in a few years, these will go like hotcakes, Darcy books...watch this space...
  13. Is this the start of a new line of combined digging and coursing dogs Wilf?? Maybe a book on the cards in a couple of years?? Maybe-'My patt x greyhounds, The Start of a Dynasty'...
  14. Like the look of the 'Max' dog mate, what made the 'Rasp' bitch stand out for you?? GOOD FINDER GOOD STAYER 150% AT EVERYTHING SHE DID,WHAT MORE DOYOU WANT FROM AN EARTHDOG? you can't ask for more than that mate....

  17. Maybe the way to get round all this would be for there to be a new 'Earthdog only' section made and you're only allow to view it if you're either vouched for or you're willing to post pics of digging/days out etc., what does everyone think????
  18. I'm glad I got these books when they first came out, seem to have been a very good investment, I think the most I paid for one was £28 inc P + P, and that was for either Extreme Lurcherwork or Dig Deep..., when does the next terrier book come out?
  19. Like the look of the 'Max' dog mate, what made the 'Rasp' bitch stand out for you??
  20. good going scent, its always nice for things to go to plan for the host when out on an invite, 15 year old and still doing the business, sounds like a decent dog mate...
  21. I am highlighting what eammon is saying, its a working terrier section so there should be posts, replies of working dogs, pups being brought on etc., and you put that pic up, all i'm saying is putting a pic up of the dog tied to a spade doesn't prove anything, show us a couple of him working...The posts I put on here I try to be 'constructive' in, I don't ruin peoples threads by stirring shit or questioning peoples dogs...and as for showing some pics, I think it wise not to put dodgy ones on what is a public forum...
  22. not being funny but i think this what Eammon means, anyone can take a pic of their jack russell tied to a spade with its pet lead on...
  23. I hope not, J Broadhurst went against his word and reprinted making the values of the first editions go down... . On a different note, does anyone know whether Darcy's new book 'Scooby' is limited edition as it doesn't mention it on the website??
  24. looking good them pups Benj, as is the bitch, hopefully we'll get a bit of sport for the big dogs tommorow...
  25. I've just finished this and have got to say it's the best terrier book ive read in a good while, it's up there with 'world of the working terrier' and 'dig deep..', it has quality pics and the author has a good, easy to read writing style, it shows the ups and downs of the terrier world and what comes with them, it mentions personal things and shows how much terriers mean to this fella, the only thing I missed was the lack of informaton on the black dogs (patterdales) in the book but thats only because I prefer them... .Well done Johnny...
