  1. His videos were so good. I learnt so much from dancing with dingos. RIP
  2. My old coursing dog was great on the hares. He was well bred (dickensons Red x a bitch out of lucky), but he wasn’t an aggressive dog. He caught a few deer but didn’t really want to kill them. He would grab the leg, let go, catch them again etc. That come from the farthers side I think as the mum loved to kill stuff. My dog was pretty gay though.. didn’t cock his leg and looked like a girl
  3. For muntys you want a dog that wants to kill it quick. The dogs needs a throat hold. They scream like mad and the bucks can thrash and cut a dog quite badly if it’s just grabbing a leg and not trying to kill it.. you can’t teach a throat hold, that’s just instinct in some dogs. My old coursing dog was a leg grabber…. Caught loads of deer but killed very few. If muntys are your game, your dog will need to be good in cover.. large coursing dogs aren’t suited to this.. their legs are too long and aren’t fast enough in thick cover to keep up. Great for lamping them but daytime hunting is a differe
  4. Good litter of coursing bred pups in Boston.. think there rough coated.
  5. There’s a lot less in Lincolnshire than there used to be. I’d say there’s less in some parts of Yorkshire where I go too. But other places in Yorkshire still hold good numbers, I just do think there’s as many places that hold the big numbers.
  6. How lucky were those lads… I thought the dogs would be took, along with the car
  7. It’s nothing new.. just now with social media, more people get to hear about it.. same with most crimes
  8. I’ve had a deer/grey/whippet. Absolutely rapid. Natural retreiver. She didn’t use her nose much and she died young on the lamp unfortunately.
  9. Don’t think there’s anything else other than beddy/whippet/grey. What else do you think is in her?
  10. The one I’ve got is solid.. a real powerful animal for her size.. she’s pretty fast too, had plenty of hares.. but her real asset is her nose. She loves to hunt and finds most of her own game. I’ll definitely be breeding her in the future. There’s a watts app group with a few of the other litter mates and I think there all pretty similar.
  11. This is one of the males from the litter. What have you got?
  12. There’s a few male dogs out of the same litter as my bitch.. I can ask them. I’m not sure how hard they have been grafted? But the parents are the genuine article and the bitch I bought is very good..a very decent all round bitch, with everything you would want from a beddy cross.
  13. I’ve seen a few dogs run, and I’m not one for all the big names… yes there good, and so they should be.. if your paying good money for a dog, then the chances are you’ll do it right and put the effort it.. but I’ve also seen some unnamed dogs, killing hares regularly and they are just as good as the big names that get spoke about.
  14. I went to a couple of meets, Revsby and Swaffam. Sadly never went to the Waterloo
  15. This one could kill them quick and he had bags of stamina.. he could run anywhere.
  16. A litter of ten pups, and he will nearly make that back.. mental isn’t it. My pal bred the mother and I think he gifted it away
  17. Do you work them on the fells with a tracking collar? Do they range out and follow scents etc? I’ve done this a couple of times and love this type of hunting
  18. I’d love one if I did that type of hunting more often.. but you have to do the type of hunting where you live really. I’ve had a few days out in the hills and I love it.
