  1. I’ve got 2 beddy crosses.. this one and a bigger beddy/grey Lurcher. Both obedient and cleaver dogs.. obviously they love to chase as there Lurchers but I’m pretty sure you could train one to talk stalking to some degree. I use mine for ferreting, lamping, bushing, bushbeating (not the gun shy one though) and daytime work.. jack of all trades master of none. (Although they take some beating as a rabbit bushing dog in the dales.)
  2. I’ve got a first cross.. very obedient and nice little companion dogs. Mine has a good nose, but she’s gun shy.
  3. The more part timers that jack, the better, in my opinion.. leave it to the genuine lads who go out, week in, week out.. the less people doing it the better.
  4. I’m looking forward to seeing how these progress.
  5. Smokey… and his granddaughter that I bred.
  6. My old dog was bred from Smokey… and when I bred him, his pup looked a lot like Smokey actually.
  7. My mate has some in Lincolnshire. They will be rough/wooly coated.. ready now I believe
  8. Have you got pictures of the parents and grandparents parents etc. just purely out of interest. How many generations back was the pure bull and Wheaton? Cheers
  9. Some stunning Salukis on this topic.. I met the guy at a show a couple of years ago.. he had a couple of nice purses with him then. My mate bought a pup of him last year (or maybe 2 years ago). Stunning little thing, probably only about 22/23 inch.
  10. His videos were so good. I learnt so much from dancing with dingos. RIP
  11. My old coursing dog was great on the hares. He was well bred (dickensons Red x a bitch out of lucky), but he wasn’t an aggressive dog. He caught a few deer but didn’t really want to kill them. He would grab the leg, let go, catch them again etc. That come from the farthers side I think as the mum loved to kill stuff. My dog was pretty gay though.. didn’t cock his leg and looked like a girl
  12. For muntys you want a dog that wants to kill it quick. The dogs needs a throat hold. They scream like mad and the bucks can thrash and cut a dog quite badly if it’s just grabbing a leg and not trying to kill it.. you can’t teach a throat hold, that’s just instinct in some dogs. My old coursing dog was a leg grabber…. Caught loads of deer but killed very few. If muntys are your game, your dog will need to be good in cover.. large coursing dogs aren’t suited to this.. their legs are too long and aren’t fast enough in thick cover to keep up. Great for lamping them but daytime hunting is a differe
  13. Good litter of coursing bred pups in Boston.. think there rough coated.
  14. There’s a lot less in Lincolnshire than there used to be. I’d say there’s less in some parts of Yorkshire where I go too. But other places in Yorkshire still hold good numbers, I just do think there’s as many places that hold the big numbers.
  15. How lucky were those lads… I thought the dogs would be took, along with the car
  16. It’s nothing new.. just now with social media, more people get to hear about it.. same with most crimes
  17. I’ve had a deer/grey/whippet. Absolutely rapid. Natural retreiver. She didn’t use her nose much and she died young on the lamp unfortunately.
  18. Don’t think there’s anything else other than beddy/whippet/grey. What else do you think is in her?
  19. The one I’ve got is solid.. a real powerful animal for her size.. she’s pretty fast too, had plenty of hares.. but her real asset is her nose. She loves to hunt and finds most of her own game. I’ll definitely be breeding her in the future. There’s a watts app group with a few of the other litter mates and I think there all pretty similar.
  20. This is one of the males from the litter. What have you got?
