Let them protest outside the Chinese, Indian or Brazilian embassy’s and I’d have some respect for them , but stopping hard pressed people going about their business ? Well, f**k ‘em ! The judge said they had crossed the line from being protesters to fanatics. I agree with nipping this in the bud. Protest is fair enough , I protested at the miners strike and the countryside march but we didn’t aim the protests at our own people. If these just stop oil people had chained themselves to Downing Street railings or glued themselves to Ministers cars I may have had some sympathy, or at least respect for them, but they are going about it the wrong way and alienating the people they need onside. Without googling it, he was found not guilty but there were several civil cases. I don’t know the outcomes, but he’s as much a hero of mine as Buzz Aldrin ! LOL ! Cheers.

I got mine in Saudi , my daughter in law would have got my grandsons in either Saudi , Yemen or the Emirates. he’s got different ones for when they dress up for different National days at school. Historical dress for Yemen Day; Cheers.

I could never compare myself to such a hero as Buzz Aldrin. As I continually tell you, I respect your opinions, some of them even make me think, but I don’t necessarily agree with all of them. I never mock you or your opinions, yes , I may poke a bit of gentle fun in your direction, but it’s just in jest. I’ve many Scot’s pals, so I know our humour isn’t always appreciated, either way, but we remain good pals. Chill out , mate, you have your opinions , I have mine, mutual respect is a good thing. Reminded me of when two lads I worked with in Saudi, one an ex RN Armourer, the other ex combat engineer, came into my office and ask if I could give them a box of black Hilti cartridges. I did and as they left I asked if they wanted the Hilti gun? They said no, they had built a pistol out of brass fittings and wanted the cartridges to fire ball bearings! They fired it once and the projectile went through the roof of the hanger ! I shut that bit of fun down rather quickly as we were on one of the busiest airports in the world !!!! Cheers.

I’ve used a 12 bore with a .410 sleeve. Perfect for taking out a whole covey of partridge roosting on the ground at night with a lamp. Not very sporting, but effective! Cheers.

I don’t know the gun laws here. Never had the need for a license, it was, and probably still is, the law that you can use someone else’s shotgun with their permission, which is what I’ve done on many occasions. And one especially for you, mate ! LOL ! In Australia and New Zealand I was out with .303’s, 30-06’s and shotguns loaded with slug. No one seem interested if I had a license or not ; Cheers.

In Texas you can pick up an AR or AK with your groceries at the local Walmart with minimal background checks. You see ordinary citizens walking around with side arms on their waist, pickups with full gun racks parked up outside of bars. Ive never seen or heard of that gun culture in the U K. Cheers.
