I know it well , nice castle, I worked in the Middle East for 26 years and travelled the world but I’m a home bird now, settled with my dogs and poultry, but I guess I’ll be back in the Middle East in march for our grandsons tenth birthday, can’t miss that. Hopefully a trip to Ireland to hunt with some pals over there, but taking it easy and enjoying life just now. Stay lucky! Cheers

Did you travel back in a De Lorean, driven by a bloke with wild eyes and even wilder hair Wilfy mate ? Two years ? All the high streets and estate shopping centres haven’t been like that for the twenty years I’ve been back home. Turkish barbers, Vietnamese nail bars , vape shops, American candy shops, charity shops, that’s all there is now. Cheers.

I fancied an each way bet on “Family Guy”, but his bottle seems to go when it gets deeper into the competitions. Littler is a bit hit and miss, (pardon the pun) , at the moment, but I think he will have enough to win it. Cheers.

Kettlewells was the last game dealer in the Grainger market. He was a pal of mine and I got all my dog food from him. Last time I was there was a few months ago with a cousin from Cyprus, originally from Byker. He wanted some nostalgia, I told him not to get his hopes up, it’s all vape shops, etc and very few butchers now. The Black Garter pub is still a decent place for a drink on match day, and very cheap aswell, but the market is now a shadow of its former self. Cheers.

You know how pedantic I can be , LOL , but Tagalog is, or was, also written in other scripts to Latin alphabet, such as baybayin and Sulat Tagalog. All the Filipinos I know speak Taglish, a mixture of Tagalog and English. Slightly off topic but one of my god daughters who is half Welsh half Filipina qualified for the Ironman World Championships in New Zealand as an Asian Champion .
