Depends on the ground your working..i know one fella on here who loves the spade & he can dig a rabbit out just as quick as a one that bolts on certain parts of his permission. However for me i,m normally looking at a 4ft plus dig 8/10 times which in the quarries i work is no good....too many limestone slabs so i work jills with a hob to shift them on if their arsed up.Don't get me wrong i will dig but it's a last resort job for me most of the time....but there's a couple of lads on here who've seen me on the blade on a rare occasion .
At the end of the you'll draw your own conclusions
I'm selling the scope which i've had on my AA410C for the last 4 years due to me shooting rimfire now & the scope has'nt been used since last August. The scope is in excellent condition, boxed with all paperwork, sunshade, lens cloth, target type turrets unused with allen key. There's also a homemade realtree scope cover which fits when the sunshade is fitted
The optics are bright & pin sharp through the full mag range & the adj objective, zoom ring move smoothly with that quality feel. The reticle is Nikoplex.
I'm selling for £200 posted RMSD(UK ONLY).Payment by bank transfer or person
oi shipwreck how did you get on today? spooky we both replied to this thread at the same time lol
Be putting a post up tomorrow cookieboy...too knackered at the moment
Kin'ell B:icon_eek: not sounding to clever up there marra!!Been rained off today meself, everythings ready to go,ferrets are bouncing...ah well always next weekend:hmm: ...
The missus has been a horsey girl since a teenager & she's a good all rounder, goes ferreting with me,sets purse nets, sorts the ferrets out if needed.Took her out with the rimmies during the week, she bagged 3 with the .22 & her best of the day was 101yds with the HMR:gunsmilie: .
I'll second that..... the trusty CZ, the Klashnikov of the rimfire world, neglect, drop, use it in any weather & it still shoots the same as your Custom Ruger,Anschutz,Sako but at half the cost....BARGAIN
Mattydski don't eat the bran biscuits if you have any.....you'll not have a crap for weeks:icon_eek: .Used enjoy the corned dog hash & the fruit biscuist if i was lucky to swap or pilfer any...those were the days .I thought they were always out of date that's why they gave them to the Navy:laugh:
CZ with a trigger kit fitted,SAK Mod on the end & a brick of Hornaday & away you go.....into the strange windage,holdover/holdunder world of .17 HMR shooting...happy days:gunsmilie:
Zero the CZ in for 18yds & it'll be near enough spot on for 50yds...does the CZ have a trigger kit fitted as they can suffer from trigger creep which will pull the shots off at longer ranges. As for cleaning the barrel on the rimmy the general concensous is "best left dirty"...don't know about the centrefire as i don't shoot one but i'm sure you'll get some good advice on here:thumbs:

Ahoy ya feckin messer!!!You'll be looking October before the ferreting starts....the undergrowth hasn't reached full growth yet at Weardale. The big freeze has got things a few weeks behind, plenty of lead being dished out at the moment however the weather's knackered it this weekend.
Don't be taken in by all this flat trajectory talk about the .17....it takes a bit of finding out several hundred rounds later when you,ve sussed it,just the windage to sort out then:laugh:.In perfect conditions the .17 is a good gun but for me my .22lr will always be the workhorse in my cabinet.
You'll have to put in for the relevent sound moderators you require, reason to give is "hearing protection"...
I have the Monarch 6.5-20x44 on my AA410c,it's a solid built scope, all the turning bits are smooth & it's never lost it's zero. The optical quality is the best i've been able to afford & i would recommend Nikon optics to anyone...the downside is finding a local stockist to have a look & feel.
The Monarch is good with the lamp, sharp images with the red filter...i don't use the airgun since having the rimfire's so i'm toying with the idea of putting the Monarch on the HMR:hmm:
7 days to clear the paperwork for you Wilf what you put in for MG42,.50 BMG:gunsmilie: Only 30 rabbits in 30 mins.....your starting to slack off marra:laugh:
The SAK mod does'nt affect the balance on my HMR...a decent mod for the money or you can spend a lot more for a couple of decibels reduction.Do the rabbits notice.....
