  1. I will run anywhere that a critter runs. It dont matter to me. If they can do it so can my dogs. I just keep them fit and hard year round and they learn to run properly on everything they encounter. That doesnt mean they might not break their neck cause they damn sure may. They may tear a leg off for all I know. Every day is a different challenge.
  2. Huskies dont run, they walk. They are not built to "run". As far as endurance though, nothing, absolutely nothing can come close. Our trial bred running hounds are as close as you will get and they are not even in the same league. I would never want an endurance bred sight hound. Its idiotic in my opinion. I have a staghound gyp that will take a critter out of sight for a long long long ways and I dont need anymore stamina than that and would actually prefer a whole hell of alot less.
  3. I wont cause I know very little but I know that which one is the momma or daddy is extremely important. In dogs and of course my area, chickens.
  4. I noticed that alot of folks across the pond frown on startin pups early. I aint sayin we start em at 3 months but 6 and 7 months is when most of us start our young dogs and to be quite honest I wouldnt keep one that didnt start that early. They aint worth a shit for much at that age but as long as they keep tryin, they can stay. Some of them get wrecked and set back but the good ones come out of it. The ones that dont come out of it aint worth owning anyhow.
  5. im not a little f*****g c**t ...ok know it al big month yank.....im in iraq at moment working with your so called know it all army know f**k all yank ...so please dont swear and call me names john wayne oh i might take you up on your offer and come to gods country the utd states of f**k wits Please stay safe over there and if you ever make up your mind, you are more than welcome to come kill some shit with me. Take care over there.
  6. One more thing. These are not them little spindly assed 50 pound roe deer and the dogs damn sure aint some little 35 pound whippet cross KC whippet cross of some sort.
  7. Throat dogs are born not made by moving them up on the throat. Some dogs might be able to be taught to do it but that aint my way. I have a bitch that does not take the throat of a coyote but only the high chest, I hate it but she is also very violent so I forgive her. My male dog CANNOT OR WILL NOT grab a coyote anywhere else but in the throat. He is a throat dog. The same goes for a dog on deer. They are born not made. come on then col saunders im all ears this is all new to me im really on edge of seat here..do your dogs use ropes /lassoes (cant spell) I do not know you
  8. What about listening to folks that tell you exactly how there dogs take deer present day and night.
  9. Why do you call it nonsense? A proper dog will run up on the deer seize the hock, set the brakes on, drive through and topple it and then throat it. Nothin nonsense about that. As a matter of fact it might just be the most thrillin type of hunting that there is.
  10. White tail deer or yalls red stag. There is no comparison in my opinion. Of course doubled up for sure on your stag and it wouldnt hurt on our white tail.
  11. Nice choice for sure but he does not want a bigger dog. I have to say once again, GREYHOUND!
  12. unfit, I am truely sorry. HAHA!
  13. I have both scent and sight coyote hounds. We do not take into consideration at all what the ground is like. I am not tryin to act macho but we just dont care. We hunt 5 or 6 days or nights a week when possible and sometimes 7. The ground has been hard as a rock over here until last Saturday. I have two staghound gyps that have not had a night off in over 3 weeks. Did they get sore footed a day or two? You damn straight they did. Did I stop running them? Hell NO! Why would you? I have told dozens of people this and nobody has the balls to even try it but the facts are that if you ru
  14. Very nice lookin dog. If I were you, I would not be afraid to slip him doubled up with a dog just like him on any coyote. If they get whipped off, oh well, at least you tried. I think he and a suitable mate would do the business.
  15. Badger, I dont know the dogs you speak of but I would let loose on a wolf in less time than it would take you to stop screamin cause I just spilt your cup of coffee on ya from hittin the ditch to hard. HAHA! All I'm sayin is I'm with ya.
  16. You most likely will never get a coyote killed by shaking it. They are not like a fox. A dog has to throat a yote immediatley or get the f**k bit out of him.
  17. I have nothin against any type of dog that is used for catchin and killin some shit but what works best for us on coyotes is usually two nice staghounds or one if you are a very luck sumbitch and get your hands on him. There aint a whole lot of them around though.
  18. No need to argue about nothin. All you got to do is do it.
  19. a dog that bites and shakes kills faster and takes less punishment back than a dog that holds, to be honest i dont think a 30lb coyote would be much of a test the test would be in the catching it in the first place Your entire statement is completely wrong in every way but you are more than welcome to come prove all of us, who know better, wrong.
