A know what you mean mate it's between her an a dog pup. A weighed them last week just gone a week an half she was weighing at 381g an her siblings around 320 to 330g. She's a bully when it comes to getting her self on the dam. A like that spirit of a pup even at that age survival instinct. She gets mad aswel if other pups are in her space mate funny to see a pup at that age eyes not open not even walking kick off with other pups over getting to dam shes very vocal. Set the eggs yesterday at 4 been in this morning taken a quick shot of nest without touching the eggs to see what's there an 5 this morning. There maybe 6 in morning but I'm hoping for just 5 with her being a first time parent an last years bird. Was in two minds to move the eggs on to a feeder. But thought a will separate the cock bird with a mesh divider leave her happily sat tight on the eggs. And Introduce him to another hen which is a over year bird a whitetop split isabel & satenette. It looks like they've taken to each other which a didn't think would happen. So now fingers crossed

Old Post but it's true sandy these yuppie city flickers haven't a clue. If only us brits were keen enough to keep our blood sport traditions going. Anothe pair of my eumo sib goldys have gone down. A bred these last year from two diffrent pairs an didn't have high hopes with them being young birds a normally like to over year the birds first. But they seem to be a nice steady pair so thought will give them ago. Gone in this morning an hens on one eggs. So taken it away an put a dummy one under her. She was that tight on the egg she didn't move. That's because I've been round the birds I've bred an there not Shy round me. Will put some pics up if all goes well guys. Nice nest of 5 on the second round varigated timbrados. Was lucky nearly lost the last chick with the weight of the other chicks sat on top of it couldn't break out of shell properly so just had to help it out of shell looks fine now tho will check on it later this afternoon ?

On Thursday my parson bitch gave birth to five healthy pups 3 dogs 2 bitches. "Looks like 4 out of the 5 pups are going to be rough coated" Dam an pups are in good health. A proper raza is about 4 1/2 inch. A chap I know down London has some pure blood from over seas. Paul meek had some too before some b*****d clean his place out. There nice birds but like nipper said alot of them these days are cross breeds , and unless you know the person your buying them off a wouldn't bother. It's like timbrado & waterslager. In the birdroom first thing this morning to my surprise first goldfinch pied out of four eggs has hatched. The other 3 should be here today all the eggs were set at the same time. Great feeling to see young in the nest.
