    Came across these yesterday evening filling up on wild rowan berries. There's a cock an hen. The hen has some lovely colour In the cheeks. But not sure if that's the reflection off the rowan berries or not.

    Stunning morning for a mooch on beach. But nearly ended up a vet job because this simple b*****d thought it would be a good idea to run back up on the tops where we came down from then jump about 12ft maybe a bit more back onto the beach thinks he's a cat lol. Very lucky because where we are there's some big old rocks like peddle bashed things on beach an was about 4ft away from landing on them. He's cut the back of his leg but not a vet job , just cleaned it up in the sea with the salt water. The dogs very lucky could of been a few broken legs.     Well yesterday I was fortunate to see this beautiful bird over a syndicate lake near me feeding up ready for its big migration back over to Africa. I've never seen one out in the wild just on the box. What made me laugh was the fella fishing right next to where it dived into the lake for a fish. He didn't have a clue that this big old bird was above him ready to drop down for a big old F1 lol. His face was a picture when the cock bird set off out of the water.

    Bought in another cock bird off a friend of mine stunning flashy pied will run this with one of my hens I've bred this year maybe another none visual or eumo pastel pied don't know yet

    If you run him with all 6 hens he'll copulate all 6 hens no bother mate. Just have each side by side him in middle cage with mesh dividers. Once you see him feeding them open one side up let him copulate one hen then once she's sat tight run him through the otherside. Then Same again with other unit of cages. Or just run him in a flight with all 6 hens but makesure you put plenty of pans up so there not fighting. I've had hens that I'm not using lay eggs in same pan and just binned them.

    Just bought a lutino hen for next season to put with one of my none visual pieds hopefully will get some nice young. She's a beautiful looking bird. I bought her of a friend for friend prices so lucky really.

    Cheers pal just bought myself lutino hen off one of my pals an a flashy pied cock bird plus thrown in a none visual pied hen for £600 thats the none visualat the side of her . I'm only looking to get one or two season out of the hens older birds. He's got young off these hens so next season will be pairing the younger birds an a couple of over year birds. It's good to have friends there to help you out from time to time ? I'm new to pied birds but been breeding different mutation goldfinches for good few years now.
