    I had a bull whippet similar to him my first lurcher off a chap called Kenny Kendal. Best dog I've owned would take anything infront of him. When a mean anything a mean anything. A nearly lost him on a night out. When a big old black an grey barrel was stomping down this field. Even after turning lamp off. A just heard this screaming from both parties.     Good age that 15 mate my grandfather had a mixed breed dog patch she was a lovely dog. Collie cross. She lived to 16 good age when they get to that. And just pass away in their sleep. Wasn't much wrong with her to look at her either. She used to make me laugh because we'd both be up at my grandfathers allotments. You could Hear my grandmother mother shouting ( Peter ) that bloody dog of yours is back home. A lady who lived over road from them lived at the back of my grandfathers plot. She used to come to back fence of allotments shouting peter pearl says that bloody dog of yours is back home.

    Sorry for your loss Tony like losing a limb when you lose not just a dog but part of the family. Lost one of mine Django at 18 months to lymphoma killed me for months was just turning into some dog maturing out. A chap a used to see walking his lab lost his few months ago.     Get sheep hearts & off cuts from local slaughter house buckets full. A stone throw away from me just off M1 motorway. Halal place. Go there on a Saturday morning give you what you want. Then there's another place in dewsbury same Halal big store. Butches at back. They strip all of fat and bits of meat dress it. All bits gets throw in bin lined with bin liners.     Same here down on disused railway bank on tree line. Soon as they see you it's Chase on hoping for that 2 second stop lol. But sometimes never comes. Chased one yesterday on river bank fishing. My nephew didn't believe me that terrier stays by my side till I've taken the shot. Once a took the shot she was straight in cover. She was on the scent of it being there.     On the back of this box it mentions cancer. Don't know if that's to do with the soft baits or the shot that's in the box. The soft baits have like a oily feel to them. Strange how they've put that warning logo on the back of the box.

    I've spent about 100 quid on two rods & reels then loads of lures , soft baits loads of traces 20 batches long , medium , small. No doubt if bought online from a tackle shop. There'd be easy at least 250 quids worth of gear.

    A know it's an old post but that's thing with us dog men. We get all this chew on social media and general public. But we are the first to show our hand when it comes to helping someone who's in need with their dogs. I watch the progress of this dig to save this dog. A know a few lads from my way went over due to not live far from here. There's a rock face like this near me that my bitch always shows interest when walking past I'm always putting her on the lead.

    If we'd of stayed in motor diving land we'd of been caught in the hour mate. But because we was on foot some bits of cover and river bank to kick back an chill.     True I'm same if I can get some decent terminal tackle at a decent price. A buy alot of korda think there based down south. Harrison's too that's another company that makes rods in the uk. My old mans got a few of there rods. Liverpool based. But the rod my pal had in his hand at fly only the Hardy rod said made in China. I was with him that day. He had bought the hardy angel reel.
