For many of these on here blacky they've never seen a good winter hare. So your right the season is done for them. I've never heard of having to cut your dogs nails down if given plenty of road walking or a nice steady pace at the side of the bike. Through the summer months. Many who's dogs are needing there nails cut. Is that many are just on grass land working an pleasure walking or the owners are knocking on an can't put the hours in road walking but will have done when younger. I've never heard as much shite Listening out for the dogs nails making a sound on the road. And how the f**k does cutting the dogs nails down , down size the nail bed. Nowt to do with the dogs f***ing nails you plum. And you shouldn't be having to cut your dogs nails if your doing much road work ready for the season. He doesn't take it seriously he doesn't was the dogs feet down after a hard day's graft. A can't believe he said he let's them lick them. Far enough if you've just been on a walk on the land. But when the dogs have been bedding in hard on the soft ground. An the dirts got deep behind the nail bed on top and under you need to get them washed out. That's why you see images with some of these dogs having redish sore feet the toes looking f****d. Abit like the look when a dogs got fleas and the skins irritated. I got chased on fens ya plum from 10 in the morning till about 3 o'clock in afternoon. We were hid for about 2 hours next to a river side. f***ing simple blacky. A let mi dog clean its own feet. Just been out on land for good few hours ran his dog into the ground . But can't be arsed to get hosepipe on with some Luke warm water to get under the nail. It's called paronychia infection under the toe that causes trauma. It's common in coursing dogs if you don't clean there feet.
