Guess you dont have an 04 plated navara then! Nope, just a 2002 D22, I have a defender at work and although great off road I think they are uncomfortable, specially for someone my size over 6ft and 16 stone. Plus I travel odd miles to work and back every day and couldn't afford the chiropractor bills

Thanks guys, spent yesterday putting down the concrete base, feel like a ninety year old this morning after wheelbarowing 2 tonnes of ballast and 13 cement bags. The base was finished and cost around £150 including hire of a cement mixer and wood for the concrete edging. The cabins have cost more, I don't have time to build them so they are £150 each. I'll stick some pictures up when its all finished, the only dwon side was/is the drainage, its impossible with the lie of the land and position of the base to run the drain to the mahole so i'm digging a four foot deep soak away and filing i

Hi Moll, Skycat is right, get her down to a lcal puppy class, you may not want to absorb the training but it will be invaluable for socialisation. The worst thing you can do is to try and reasure the pup as this will confirm the reasoning that somethings "wrong", much better to ignore it, this is a very common problem that causes stress to the owner but usually reduces quickly with a training program and development

Many thanks to all for the replies. I have decided that i'm going to hire a mixer and do it myself, one problem is the garden slopes away from the manhole, also I've been told that the manhole may be surrounded by three concrete rings? If so this could prove fun when fitting the drains. Millet, I've decided to reduce the size of the base from 18x10 to 7 x12 as I will site the cabins outside the runs on slabs, I think it calculates to 1.1 sq metres of concrete. We had money saved for a new dining room table and stuff for the new house but i've transfered it to essential works budget The ad

Hi Guys I'm moving this weekend (fingers crossed) and I'm getting a delivery of concrete (1.7 sq metres) to build a base 18x10 for three kennels. This will be the first time as my current set-up is on slabs with a soak away and I want to install drains and do a good job. Could anyone please provide me with some advice and if possible some photos of the base and drainage, I'm putting cabins outside the runs but I'm struggling with "seeing" the base and putting in the drains. Any help and photos would be greatly appreciated and thanks to Elisderyn for his help Also to add I know a few

Personally I really really like the bloke and have enjoyed his programmes and his books. I like the way he makes people think about whats going on their plate and to take a little responsibility. Cook on the wild side was class.

I do have my own beliefs and used to attend church but I believe that religion is the cause of so much grief in the world. I still have my own beliefs but hate the pompous/knowing attitude of most religious advocates regardless of religion. Me and my wife went when we were n our late 20's and were at least 40 years younger than the rest of the parish, they were old, set in their ways in did nothing but whinge and moan about people, hardly the "christian" way......God help you (literally) if you sat in THEIR spot on the pews, you'd be bitch slapped with an umberella
