Couldn't agree more ditch, possibly the worst breed on the planet for the morons to got hold of. Spoken to some guys in the states who beleive these dogs are potentially lethal. Forget the hype that surrounds pits, GSD;s, rotties and the mastiff breeds......................These things are not for pet homes. No-one in this country needs that much dog.....

Most shepherds in this country are bred for the pet or show market with conformation or temperament in mind. Pets with a bad attitude occasionally crop up as with any breed, as for show dogs, the conformation is far from ideal where work is concerned but dogs with a bad tempearament wouldn't last long with strangers pulling them about week in week out. The only dogs bred purposefully for manwork are dogs from sport/working lines and dogs that don't display a sound character are culled....

Another very serious working dog but there are only a couple in the UK.

I see benefits from both having dogs in the house or in GOOD kennels and runs. I've kept dogs both indoors and out. My current dogs are all kenneled but I am planning on bringing an older terrier bitch inside.
