A few years ago myself, my wife and three friends were training dogs for tracking on land we had permission to be on. It was dark and a local busy body saw three cars with dog cages in the back and phoned the local station to report us for hare coursing (At 11pm), the first we knew was when the chopper lit us up, we were doing nothing wrong so we carried on and as we left the field we were confromted by a full transit van, a dog van and two patrol cars. Even though we only had a collection of shepherds and collies, on land where we had permission and quite clearly not hunting I was sat in a -
Not aware of any lurcher clubs but we have the Rother Valley club locally and the Fell and Moorland via Bantam cock on this site.........

Yes, they send an automated message. Well I sent a mark 3 box back as it didn't pick up the signal correctly, they took it back and looked at it and sent it back telling me its fine. Well its fine if you like an intermittant signal and a reading of 2 feet at 10 feet and a reading when the box is aimed nowhere near the collar

How very dare you!! ..............It takes me hours to boot black my dog, blow dry, comb...........and the sheer pride when you get that ribbon takes a mans breath away You did say blow DRY your dog Wilf? I'm sure you also spend as much time with your own appearence to ensure a "place" in the "ring"........

I've always thought that a digging dog is a working terrier and a bushing/ratting dog is a sporting terrier. Doing anything with your dogs is fun and better than the mincing around the show ring
