  1. Fantastic story and photos, i'd love to hunt coyotes from horseback.....
  2. Probably the best post on the thread, there are many points in life when you wish you could go back, kick yourself up the arse and change decisions......
  3. I'm not wathing it as ive seen numerous similar footage, I'm a meat eater plain and simple, i eat it because i enjoy it and want to, BUT i think farmed animals deserve good husbandry and a humane death......

  9. Wheaten/bull/grey, older than many first season dogs at 23 months but took a long time to get his legs figured out and i'm in no rush, done everything asked and i'm very pleased with him........Haven't got a recent photo.
  10. Do any of you lads use a captive bolt, an option for those unable or refused a certuficate as no license is required............
  11. Many years ago i was asked to clear some rabbits on some land belonging to the parish council, they had a village hall and some football fields that had become a breeding ground for rabbits, i was given free run for the weekend to eradicate as many rabbits as possible and was promised some cash in hand for clearing them. I boxed up the ferrets, grabbed the dog and headed to the remote piece of land on the outskirts of a small village. I also took my tent as along with the ferreting i intended to do a spot of lamping once the sun went down. The first day proved eventfull with rabbits bolting

  16. Oh yeah, and as a young lad i used to watch too many horror films, i'd be lamping alone, let my imagination run wild and want to be anywhere rather then a dark field alone

  18. As others have said, pheasents exploding from under your feet sometimes make you jump, also the unexpected bark of a muntjac in close proximatey can put your heartrate up for a second:laugh: When i used to do a lot of ratting they would sometimes make you shudder as they ran across your feet or tried to get up your legs, also bumped into the odd snake which startle you. I remember years ago sat in a farm waste ground at night with my gun when a fox barked at me less than 10 yards away, made me jump too. A member on here squeeled like a girl a few weeks ago when we walked through a hedge, sh
  19. Now we all admire a good lookin dog BUT £4k for a showpony that could win, at best, 50p's worth of rosette..! Some folk 'eh... Totallyagee Bosun A dog could be the best looking animal in England, be a champion jumper but unless it can catch a few bunnies on a night out it ain't worth a carrot, just my opinion
  20. I would say the person placing the advert should be ashamed of themselves, but the fact is they wont......
  21. As the song says "dude looks like a lady"

  22. She looks like the real thing, she tastes like the real thing, my fake plastic love, and i can't help the feeling , i could go through the ceiling, if i just turned and run, and it wears me out,,,,,

  23. You made a very difficult decision but it was the right one as you have stated, still doesn't help your feelings though.....
  24. I'd continue with your research and not get a pup because its conviniently close. Take your time and wait for a collie/grey pup from a working dog, a lot of lads will have had good dogs from Hancock BUT when you breed large numbers your going to get a few cracking workers, but in the bulk dogs bred from those that spend there life on a chain are not for me....
