Don't know why I use hibiscrub and don't really know if it works but what I do seems to work on my dogs so I'll keep doing it lol

I wash mine in hibiscrub and also stick a flea collar on them in the summer (one from the pound shop) and they seem to stay clear of fleas

Where did I say they have a syncro on reverse I said there a straight cut gear which makes them harder to get in ... I to have rebuilt countless engines and gearbox and I also started on the spanners at a young age (about the same age as you) not been at it as long as you but I'd still put money on your theory being wrong Sure when torchy gets it sorted he can tell us who was right if one of us is right that is

Reverse is harder to get in because there straight cut gears not bevelled... Torchy try double clutching quickly when changing down see if it goes in easier i'd put my money on it being clutch or slave cylinder related

If it was clutch or hydraulics at fault box would crunch selecting reverse as this doesn't have syncros hence the question def is syncros likes been said first and second hubs damaged Not nessercellery , if you have a slight drag on the clutch it will only crunch when the box is under load ... Hence why it doesn't crunch going up the gears only coming down the box ... Like I say take it back to the garage and see what they say ...

6ft is a small snake lol used to have a 5ft garter snake 6ft royal python and a 9ft Burmese python that used to eat whole rabbits was amazing to see it eat

I say your clutch ain't clearing right it's dragging slightly... Wouldn't say it's anything to do with syncro,s your only feeling it changing down as that's when your clutch as to work hard especially going down to first and second , take it back to the garage and get them to put it right..
