  1. my father was a 30 year USNavy man, his stories and the sound of his voice when he talked about his friends and men who served with and under him who came back damaged beyond repair will haunt me till the end of my days. Its been an absolute crime what happens to the returning soldiers, yes some don't want or need help, but the number who do are absolutely staggering. He often used the Charles Dickens saying that is attached to my signature ... the only 2 exceptions he ever made were for children and for ex-military men in need of help. They have given "us" their all, some have lost everyth
  2. They didn't show it during the regular airing, or the aftercard ... so I wasn't sure if it was one that was crap so wasn't aired, or if it was SO good that it was only showed to those with live tickets, or if it didn't happen at all?
  3. The other gay people of the world
  4. Dan it will never be enough ... never ever never  Stainlee the last dog I heard of shipped with the rabies/testing, microchipping, all paperwork and shipping it was about 300 quid, and when Kye was thinking about sending one of the Stitch/Tor pups over, it was about the same when I checked for him. The last dog I brought over here from England ending up costing a bit less for just the shipping and health paperwork, and that was without a pet passport.
  5. I'm not bothered by it not even Dan Edwards would risk getting one of these poorly bred shit raised sure to be culled bits of fluff and we all know his standards are as low as his pants
  6. here they are at 8 weeks, they enjoyed their first night with the heat lamps on in the kennel
  7. did Paul Daley's fight not happen? It was on the card but never shown?
  8. Hannah I'm the same way, normally pretty smiley and chipper, If I get to bed at 3 I'm still up 5 or 6 am ready to go. I normally get 4-5 hours of sleep a night and other than computer time, don't sit down other than to drive during the day.
  9. Popular in the horsey set, but I've heard it raved about by some working dog folks too ... its in a 16 oz trigger spray bottle
  10. Ive been training her for the last 2wks by giving her a treat on return and its been working,9 times out of 10 she will return but if she is on the sent of quarry she go's deaf I typed yet and should have typed eye! What was wrong with her eye that they were giving her something for it? And just keep going with the training then, she should be 100% consistent for a couple of months before you try it off lead, do it in small sessions and always keep it positive with her. It is harder for guys, but if speaking in a higher pitched voice wouldn't freak you out, give it a try rather th
  11. whats wrong with her yet? Have you thought about enrolling her in an obedience class? The teachers are mostly useless, but it might help with her recall issue if you haven't had much luck on your own.
  12. welcome, my Dad was born in Ft. Worth and raised in Orange, went to San Jacinto High what kind of dogs do you have?
  13. wow, I never realized how much he sounded like Barry
  14. if anyone wanted to import one, I would put a lot of money on it being something special! Incredible feet, grit, good coat, it would be nice to see an American dog run on UK land against UK quarry. I'd run it on here to get its pet passport, and deliver it myself I have a feeling no one would take me up on the offer though
  15. kiki are you saying you got DHLPP plus rabies plus bordatella (kennel cough) ALL for 16 quid? That sounds incredibly cheap ... especially from a vets. They would have been administered in at least two jabs, possibly three ... DHLPP is one, Rabies is always a self contained jab, and usually bordatells is seperate as well. What caused your vet to recommend Rabies, are you planning on traveling to the continent or abroad? Its just quite uncommon to give it (assuming you live in Great Britain?)
  16. have you ever seen a dog fall on their knees and start saying the hail mary?
  17. Jugs is a trooper thats for sure She was never so happy to see the back of Dan when he took the 5 Stitch/Tor pups They were bigger than her when they were about 5 weeks old, at least she is still bigger than these guys are at 7 weeks
  18. Lepto is the "L" in the 5 way puppy/booster jabs ... DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvo) ...so if the pup was jabbed at all, it would have been jabbed for it. At 14 weeks it "should" have recieved probably 2 jabs. Over here we normally jab a pup every 3 weeks from about 7 weeks on to 16 weeks or so, because the studies on the actual viability of jabs is frightening ... they have about a 30% viability rate simply due to manufacture and shipping errors. We NEVER bring a new dog on our yard, or even ALLOW someone to bring their dogs here, if they aren't jabb
