    dotty , there'll be lots of answers to this topic ?? but is there a right or wrong answer , every breeder breeds for THEIR reasons nobody elses , i see no difference if the pups are sold or given away for free --- the only opinion i'd say is , if theyre free , the breeder is more likely to let any tom dick or asshole have one , where as if theyre for sale , it's only good honest people wanting them , yes i know you could get assholes wanting to buy too , but the free option i think theres more likely they'd be let go------just my opinion thoug ----den

    That's exactly how the timers work. They break a beam at the beginning, thus starting the clock, and then break the beam at the end, thus stopping the clock. All linked to a timer via radio. There is also straight racing; 1000 guineas. if theres a beam at the finish line ???? could'nt that be triggered by the lure as it's passing ??? hence stopping the clock before the dogs reach it ???? just a thought can this happen ???? also , the 1000guinees is that open to pure breds too ??     is'nt there a racing competition , other than beat the clock, anyhow , how do you beat the clock without 2 beams , one at the start and finish , all connected to a clock??? just asking cos i find it hard to believe that dog did 4.78, ffs greyhounds cant do it that fast, an i'm pretty sure your average grey , would beat any lurcher , mine included
