He showed no interest at the Lurcher Link event in October even though the other two were behaving like nutters to get the lure but he does seem to have more of a chase instinct now. I'd only had him a couple of days then though and was supposed to be finding him a home but he stayed with me instead.
They are predominantly pets, i'd like to do more with Griff the lurcher as he has shown some promise out and about on the farm. Paris, the brindle has taken a few rabbits but is getting on a bit now.
Maybe I am but she doesn't sit in front of the TV all day getting square eyes and she doesn't moan (too much) when I want to take the dogs out, go hunting or go to rugby of a saturday.
She has certain things she likes to watch but she isn't allowed to watch those unless i've agreed it first.
I must be a mean parent. My daughter isn't allowed things like that.
She has a leapster Lmax but the only games she can get are educational and help her reading/maths etc.
She has DVD's and a little portable DVD player that I got her for christmas but she isn't allowed it in her bedroom and has to ask before she can use it or before she puts a DVD on the main TV.
My bitch broke her tail and the vet wanted to amputate but gave me a chance to put it right.
If there is any open wounds make sure they are covered with a wound dressing, then wrap with soft bandage and incorporate a splint to keep the tail straight, cover in a proper bandage and cover with vet wrap. The dressing has to go pretty much all the way up the tail and kept dry and straight so the bones can knit properly.
My bitch is fine now, if you look at the picture of her in the brindles thread you can tell there was a break.
Ooh, thanks for that. I never seem to make it to SLD although I have promised to make more of an effort this year.
I'm hoping I can persuade Phoenix (black grey) to have a go, he's showing more interest than he did but i'm not sure if he'll actually run or not.
They have done lure coursing. Paris (the brindle) is a bit old now but the lurcher loves it! Are you talking about Sussex Longdogs? They are based near Hellingly, is it the same one?
We were at Peterborough in October for the Lurcherlink charity coursing day.
I took the dogs up to my dad's farm and actually remembered the camera. There are some pretty pap pics and some video of them all. I know they aren't working or anything but they are having a bit of fun.
They spotted a couple of rabbits but they were too close to the railwayline to be caught.
I'm with lurchergrrl, a little bit of back hair is ok, I can deal with that but only a little. Loads is just too much, i'd have to get the wax out!
Waxing is better than shaving, doesn't it itch after a bit Airgunner?
A hunt that my ex follows did a range of underwear and he bought a pair and moaned every time he wore them that they were too tight. Everyone who saw him model them over his trousers at The Festival of Hunting found them amusing though.
Not keen on a moustache but a bit of designer stubble on the right man can be very hot!
This does not cover my ex however who thought bum fluff growth on the chin = designer stubble!
