Woman round my village walks one of those Boerboels, it's in good shape but must weigh as much as her, so no idea how she'd stop it if it decided someone was a threat. I like the look of all the dogs in this topic and "like the idea" of having one, but it would 100% be too much for me and I've got nothing worth stealing anyway. I'd just be worried it would be a time bomb waiting to go off all the time. Think I'll stick to a yappy terrier lol.
