    Nothing wrong with an 870 but the Winchester action actually unloads the empty for you leaving the user to just close the action.

    One thing I've never had an issue with. Working a pump, changing from single and double triggers, two stage and single stage.

    Farmers been mithering all week about crows on his turnips. It's a small field by a crossroads and a house ?. Job for muffy. My moded 410. Really pleased too. Between 65-70 shots for 52. Some not in photo.

    I've got a Barbour coat too, these will go perfectly. I bought some from Aldi last winter. Fell apart in a week! Still have them but they will be gone come winter.

    The 99 is a very good design and there is nothing wrong with 303 savage. It's just a pinch to large for squirrels, rabbits and fox's. The 357 could easily do the lot ?

    .....about my 357 Winchester 94 the other day. It was a brilliant rifle and the cartridge was amazing. Cheap to reload too. I'm now toying with the notion of swapping the 452 in WMR for a Winchester 9422m..... very tempted. Would make a nice carry rifle, maybe just get a peep for it.

    The other week to old walker's I've been seeing a few times walked past me as I remained hidden this time. Next thing I know the short fat woman pulls her leggings ( or pyjamas) down and has a pee in front of me! Then she gets up and has a look around to then notice me standing there turned a funny shade of green! Yes, bring on winter!

    Meece, it's Phil's choice. It's no skin off your nose now is it! We don't even know what type of mechanism it is and I don't recall Fabarm making a long recoiler in which case if the bushing was oiled it would offer little dampening to the function. We also don't know the history of the gun! Chill out, put the issue down and step back some ? Philip has it all under control.

    Bloomin townies. Probably the Mrs has the balls and trousers to match! I was watching a jogger a few weeks ago. She would run down to the gate she wanted to go over bit wouldn't because of the cattle the other side. She ran half a mile back, turned around and went back, turned around and repeat....cattle still at the gate. I got fed up and went to her rifle on shoulder and told her she just needs to be assertive with them and went and showed her. She was doing some virtual run comp thingie.     Had a good session on pigeon today. Shot lousy, ok I have full and full choking but I still shot bad. 15 feral and 26 woodies. I'll spare you the cartridge ratio. It's a little negative and somewhat embarrassing ??. The heat was near impossible and I forgot something to drink. Fortunately the hedge cast some shade on my hide. 28g 7&1/2s.

    I saw a hen with a near full clutch of poults yesterday and have seen other pheasant poults flying about on one farm ? Today though I found a fresh fox turd ?
