  5. My cousin nearly got rid of the bitch as she didn't take any interest in running anything up to over 2 but he glad he never got rid as he says she best he had in over 40 years of keeping lurchers
  6. My cousin got 2 deerhound x Greyhounds and both was still like pups at 18 months old and the bitch didn't catch anything until 2 half . Bigger the dog slower it matures so no dog going to be in peak unless it's fully grown . Are staghound just deerhound X ? My old whippet X catching before 12 months and snaffled a rabbit in hedgerow day before he passed away at 14 .
  7. That's good bag for 9 month old , always liked look of Bryn ,never liked shepherds but I see a couple lurchers bred out them that I'd be happy to feed ,one was a collie, shepherd grey X sal bul grey and he used on fox mostly and boy could he do his job , I've always enjoyed your posts about buck ,it's good you got a pal to walk him and woody A mate had hernia op couple years ago and he rested for 3 weeks and he was fine so with couple weeks rest you be ok bud , ATB

  11. It's good she's going but another sad fcuker take over , Britain needs a new party The British party
  12. When out last night for few hours and see plenty young rabbits running about .
  13. Conservative MPs spent 145.5 million of our money in 22 on products from Amazon ,IKEA ,John Lewis, rent a car and apple Foreign office 96 k on duty free drink ,fags etc The list of lavish spending goes on and on and all spent on tax payers money , It's so fcuking wrong and they need to go .
  14. My bedy grey would nudge stuff with her nose when she a pup expecting it to run and she even snaffle rabbits and drop them to run again but once one got away she never made that mistake again , My cousin run 2 deerhound lurchers and both didn't catch anything until after 2 year old and I remember he nearly gave the bitch away as he thought she a waste of time but she just needed time to mature and once the lights came on she turned into what he calls the "best " and that's saying something as he's had some cracking dogs over last 50 Year . Bigger dogs just take more time to mature a
  15. The working lurcher needs a voice It's about time everyone who works a sighthound / lurcher had a organisation they could join that will fight to keep our dogs doing what they bred for, All field sports should come together and go under one banner .

  17. My 3 hobs are coming into season so I'll split them up this weekend after last day ferreting on Saturday Don't keep Jill's anymore but always split them up from the hobs start of Feb
  18. I was walking few fields today and see good numbers of young running about ,think Saturday will be last day ferreting
  19. You'll have no problems getting ferrets in beds once they kits on the ground and I'll be honest I've never had a young ferret that wouldn't take to rabbiting ,just start them in small places as most young ferrets don't like going to deep at first , I'm not into night time ferreting but I no someone who used to do a lot at night and he even put little lights on ferrets collar so he'd see them once above ground or at least that was the plan ,I don't no if it worked but he says it did ?
  20. If you looking to take Jill's out of season without having lots of kits on your hands I'd look to get vet give them Jill jab or get your hob the snip. You say you can only have one more ferret so what happens if your Jill's have kits and you not able to sell or gift them out ,you might end up with few never mind one so my advice is get Jill jab done if you not got a sniped hob .
  21. Some are ok but like been said those smashing stuff and stealing and driving all over the crops etc fcuk it up .I got nothing against bit poaching but do the fcuker quietly.
