That’s how I got the farm so hopefully the other farm will be in touch soon??

I’d love a dog but the Mrs is not animal friendly, or kid friendly either, hence no pets or kids?
-
Let’s hope it turns out Dave. That huge wad has took a hit, just bought a new scope? Need to get saving for a few other things before thinking about a thermal spotter. Need a mod for my 308 and looking round for some trial cams.

Out tonight on the farm clearing a few more rabbits. The farmer is gradually giving me more and more land to cover which is great. Managed to clear seven more tonight but only managed to pick up four as couldn’t find the others?, always annoying when that happens. As I was loading my gear back in the van I got speaking to one of the fellas who helps out on the farm, turned out to be really nice fella. As we are chatting he asked “what do I do with my rabbits?” I replied “would you like these four?” Any way long story short he took them for his ferrets. The chatting continue

Might not need to purchase that fox caller after all?? -
Went out for a walk around the fields last night to clear a few more rabbits. Managed to bag 3. Just walking bag to pick the first one shot, entered the field found the rabbit, had another scan of the field and then I see those BIG orange eyes in my lamp. Charlie out in the long grass about 150-200yards away. Only had the 22 so no way I was taking the shot. Kneeling down keeping it in my scope I started squeaking my lips. This certainly got its attention and to my surprise started coming in quick sharp. There it was full view about 30 yards infront of me. Nice and

Me last night creeping up on rabbits with the moon shining ?

Thanks Ian??

What trail cam do you use? Been looking on eBay, do they all record video or just take a snap shot when the IR is triggered. 12mp or 16mp? Been bitten a few times buying off eBay so any recommendations would be great?
-
Yeah yeah rub it in why don’t you? Its that wonky sight you sold me? Managed to get it zeroed at 75 yards now so I can’t use that excuse anymore ? Chuck one of those near the trees at the stables? chucked one in yesterday I’ll see if it’s been taken on my way home tonight.

?, I suppose I might be overplaying the mate card a bit to much there?
-
I know what, you get yourself lathered up in fox lure and I’ll send you over to hide in the trees to see if it turns up. Bearing in mind if I don’t see it walk into the trees your getting bummed by a fox due to the fact I’ll have no clear shot???
-
There is definitely a chance he’s been shot or ran over M, we were discussing that last night. Ive dropped a hare in the trees near where it was seen so I’ll be check to see if the baits been taken. I have considered the idea of distance marking too, as I do struggle sometimes with night distance.?
-
It was hardly Broke Back Mountain ?? And it was Orlando with poultry? Thats probably why he never turned up, doesn’t like cheap dog food ?
-
Thanks for the input Ian. Certainly something to think about purchasing ? Dont get the time to go every night and look round, so it’s definitely a good idea??
-
Let’s hope. One good thing is we didn’t have to wait in the open as we’ve got an open shed as a hide?. Nice and dry and out the wind??
-
I’m the same, work dictates when can go shooting unfortunately. I’ll keep baiting up around where we seen it. luckily I can just pull up on the road and jump the fence so don’t have to walk ages to bait up?

Well been out tonight with Stavross to see if Charlie would turn back up. Spotted him last Wednesday night about 20:30, so got there tonight about 19:30 and chucked a bit of dog food about to keep it on the spot to take a shot. So we waited, waited and waited a bit more, roughly about 2hrs. Bait down, then the rabbit distress call on Stavs fox caller and the dirty little blighter hasn’t got the courtesy to turn up? Not having a good week this week. Nothing at the other stables and zilch tonight. Thought I would have got something from the smaller stables to keep baiting the per

Anywhere Whisky is thrown into the deal is always good??? Bet you wish you still helped that keeper? Sounds like the perfect partnership.
-
In your case U I can understand your frustration. The keeper sounds like a right lazy git and you are doing his job for him. A keeper that doesn’t carry a gun??? Has he got a catapult in his back pocket just incase? Sounds like the land owner needs a new keeper.
-
If a keeper asked me to go and clear foxes from his land I’d be more than happy to oblige. Wouldn’t care if it was his job or not. All permission is good to have in my eyes!!
-
Nice one thanks Stav will do??
-
Even better you lucky git ??

Certainly made me chuckle about the immigrant? Your a lucky man having a place like that to shoot, even if you didn’t get anything the scenery would make up for it.
