    Certainly a good couple of hours walk round the farm. Stav had a good few shots over 100-110 yards with the 17. All shots were over 60 yards with the 22 so happy with that?. Definitely plenty more to go at. Thanks for the night out Stavross??

    As long as I don’t take the p@ss to much she’s ok really. Mainly due to the fact that I let her buy what she wants and don’t complain. She has more shoes than Amel Demarco?

    I do like a gadget, don’t think the Mrs would be happy if I splashed more cash out this year on a £600 scope,, spent a few quid already this year. MP5 for the indoor, nikko sterling holographic for the MP5, new Tikka T1X, cheap scope off Stav to put on the T1X for now seeing as he’s got the new scope?, just about scraped enough together for a DTP for my Tikka and 308?

    Could also try knocking yourself up a flyer. Add a information about your self and what your looking for eg general pest control etc. Add your number and an email. If there not in drop one through the door. I got a few replies doing it that way... unfortunately to says thanks for the offer but they already had someone. Took me a year before I got my bit of land, perseverance pays off and don’t get disheartened with knock backs. Good luck and keep at it?

    Well I had a visit to the RFD and he present me with my T1X and can I just say it feels awesome. Clean bolt action, crisp trigger and the weight is nice. I was going to transfer my 6x24x50 scope off my 308 onto it but when I got home realised the 308 had a weaver rail? just going to use my Sak mod for now until I gather some more pennies and get a DPT mod and conversion so I can use it on both rifles. will get some pics on soon as it is? One happy fella? Only down fall is it cost me £200 for a new Ted Baker dress for the Mrs? I knew there was a reason she wanted to com

    Had a phone call from the RFD I tend to use and good news. The my Tikka T1X has come in? Its the only one he has got and it’s alllll mine? Going to pick it up on Saturday. I will post some pics of the little beauty??

    No not yet mate? Doesn’t seem to be many about now at the stables, seen one in the long grass and it bolted and seen a little scrapper. Will still keep popping up though? Might have another stables after the summer? At the moment there is 70 horses in the fields. He said ring him later in the year?? My eyes popped out of my head like a cartoon character ?

    Had a little mooch last night around the stables for an hour or so. No soon as load the CZ I see my first target for the night, only been there 5 minutes. It caught sight of me and bounced off, I thought it would be well gone, but oh no. Popped my head around the side of the stable and there it was, sat perfectly up right no more than 20 yards away. I got my self positioned to shoot through the fence and then let the trigger finger go. Next thing thud, nice little head shot??

    Thanks for the input?? I shoot both eyes open so might work out ok with a bit of luck?? Im definitely going to have to try the clay ground, been itching to start shooting shotgun for a while, so need to get my butt in gear. Then hopefully get some nice pigeon meat on the table?

    Might sound weird but I shoot right handed both eyes open, the left being the dominant eye, works for me using rifles with scopes, with a good hit rate. In the field and on the range. Done it that way for years. Cant do this technique using iron sights so shoot left handed with irons, only from a bench with my mate spotting the first few rounds. So my logic is I will probably have to shoot left handed using a shotgun?? Going to go to a clay ground with a tutor and see what he suggests. might take some getting use to but just going to have to practice?.

    Yeah the other month, only need the smallest strength lenses as I only struggle when looking at things really close up. Distance is no problem, only when I have my left eye shut. Optician said if he put a stronger one in for the right it would cause all sorts of imbalance. Also I’d end up looking like that bloke from Harry Potter with one big eye as the lense would be well thick ?

    Unfortunately U no glasses in the world will help me with that? my right eye has had a blur since I was a kid. It never developed properly and my left eye takes all the strain and balanced my vision that way. Good advice all the same for someone who needs to try and train there right eye though??
